Regal South Indian Bridal Makeup & Styling
Honoring tradition with a modern, glowing touch. I create looks that celebrate the rich beauty of South Indian heritage while ensuring you feel radiant, not heavy.
This is the hairstyle that every South Indian bride dreams of. We created a thick, traditional braid, weaving in fragrant jasmine flowers for a look that is both timeless and regal, perfectly complementing her Kanjeevaram saree.
For this newlywed's Satyanarayan pooja, we designed a beautiful, non-conventional messy braid adorned with traditional hair jewelry. The makeup was kept simple and radiant, signifying a fresh, auspicious beginning.
For her reception, we crafted a look that celebrates her skin in its truest glory. The focus was on a flawless base, smouldering eyes, and a rich lip shade that spoke of pure elegance and confidence.
A classic South Indian bridal look featuring a vibrant silk saree and traditional gold jewelry. Her makeup is kept fresh and radiant with a bold lip, letting her joyful smile be the main accessory.
Dressed in a beautiful golden Kanjeevaram for her sister's Muhuratam, this look is all about classic elegance. The intricate blouse, temple jewelry, and soft glam makeup create a harmonious and regal appearance.
Glamour has a special place in my heart, especially for a reception look. Here, a stunning purple saree is paired with radiant skin, defined eyes, and antique temple jewellery for a truly memorable finish.
For the bride's sister-in-law, we created a look that was both glamorous and traditional. Her radiant makeup and classic updo perfectly complemented the heavy gold jewelry and silk saree for the main event.
A closer look at the stunning details of a traditional South Indian bridal look. The layers of antique gold jewelry, including the kasina sara and waist belt, are perfectly balanced with soft, glowing makeup.
This look is the definition of ethereal simplicity. We created a soft glam look with minimalist eyes, allowing the bride's natural beauty and the intricate details of her hair jewelry to shine through.
Our gorgeous bride is all smiles and ready for her engagement. The soft, glowing makeup and traditional gold jewelry create a look that is both classic and effortlessly beautiful.
About Regal South Indian Brides
When you wear a heavy Kanjeevaram and layers of temple jewelry, the makeup needs to balance that weight, not fight it. My goal is to keep your base breathable and radiant so the gold stands out without overpowering your natural features, especially for long Kannadiga muhurthams where comfort matters just as much as looking regal.
My approach to the traditional South Indian bride is rooted in balance. I spend the first twenty minutes of our session on a dedicated skin prep ritual, using hydrating products like Embryolisse and Peter Thomas Roth gold patches. This creates a dewy, glass-skin canvas that looks fresh under harsh lights and stays put through hours of ceremonies.
For hair, I love incorporating tradition with a technical twist. Whether it is a thick, braided plait interwoven with fresh jasmine or a modern floral bun that doesn't strain your scalp, I make sure the accessories are secured for movement. I use high-definition, sweat-resistant foundations from NARS and Huda Beauty, ensuring your look stays flawless from the first ritual to the final reception photo. If you are worried about the weight of heavy earrings, I always have numbing cream in my kit to keep you comfortable. My work is not about hiding who you are, but highlighting it so that when you look in the mirror, you see yourself, just with a bit more sparkle.
Deepa Megnath
I am Deepa, and I believe makeup is art that comes from within. I love seeing my brides light up when they catch that first glimpse in the mirror, feeling like a queen without losing their own sparkle. When a bride trusts me to handle her big day, it is a privilege I never take for granted.
