I believe that healthy skin is a fundamental right. My team and I regularly host free dermatology camps across Bangalore to ensure that quality, evidence-based care reaches those who need it most.

About Community Service & Outreach
When we host camps at places like Preethi Nivas, I prioritize the same rigor we use in the clinic. My team and I focus on diagnosing common, often overlooked issues like chronic dryness, fungal infections, or pigment changes in seniors who might not otherwise have access to specialist care.
Community engagement is not a side project for us; it is a core pillar of how we practice dermatology at Mahani Skin Clinic. By partnering with the Bangalore Dermatology Society and IADVL, we have been able to contribute to state-wide initiatives, screening over 5,000 patients in the process.
In these outreach programs, the goal is simple: accessibility. We bring our dermoscopy tools and clinical expertise directly to the community. Often, skin conditions in elderly populations are dismissed as simple aging, but they can be signs of underlying health concerns. During our camps, we emphasize:
- Early Diagnosis: Identifying and treating skin diseases before they escalate into painful or chronic conditions.
- Patient Education: Teaching residents and caregivers about proper hygiene, hydration, and why avoiding harsh home remedies is vital for skin health.
- Evidence-Based Screening: Using our clinical background to differentiate between benign pigment changes and conditions requiring urgent medical intervention.
We provide medicine samples and actionable treatment plans on the spot. My team and I find these interactions deeply fulfilling, as they remind us why we entered medicine in the first place.
