Artistic Henna Designs by Kavya
A personal collection of my work, featuring custom deity portraits and storytelling through henna art.
This portrait of Lord Krishna is an example of the devotional art that is very close to my heart. I find a sense of peace while creating such detailed deity figures, focusing on each line to bring the image to life.
I love creating henna that tells a story. For a client's terrace party, I drew this small figure on a swing, a memory from her childhood backyard. This is the kind of custom, illustrative mehndi that I truly enjoy making.
Here you can see my henna recreation of a Gaura Hari figure next to the original reference from a book. I can work from your photos or ideas to create a faithful and artistic representation on your skin.
A symmetrical design for both hands, centered around the peaceful lotus motif. This style combines traditional floral patterns with a clean, modern feel, extending up the wrists with delicate vine work.
This is the beauty of a natural henna stain after it has fully developed. The design darkens into a rich, deep reddish-brown color over a couple of days. I only use natural henna paste to ensure the best and safest results.
About Featured
If you have a specific scene or deity portrait in mind, I can sketch it on paper before we start applying henna. This ensures the shading and proportions are exactly as you imagined, whether it is a devotional figure or a personal memory for your hands.
My work is a blend of traditional art and personal storytelling. When I take on a request for a custom piece, like a swing scene or a specific deity, I focus on the shading technique that creates depth on your skin. I do not use chemical cones; my paste is homemade and natural. This means the stain will develop into a rich, deep color over 48 hours rather than appearing instantly dark.
Whether you want a full forearm narrative or a smaller portrait, we will work through the layout together. I prefer to see your reference images or hear the story behind your idea first. This collaborative process is how I ensure the final design feels personal to you. If you are planning a devotional session, particularly for festivals or personal milestones, feel free to reach out with your concept. I am based in Delhi NCR and can travel to your location for sessions.
