Interactive Storytelling Performances and Heritage Walks

Every session is a doorway to a new world. Whether it is a quiet heritage walk or a bustling school assembly, I bring stories to life through puppets, music, and the shared hum of human connection.

When I step onto the stage, the story takes over. In this moment, during a keynote address at the Early Educators Summit, I am not just speaking. I am weaving a world with words, gestures, and shared breath, connecting with every soul in the room.

The purest joy is seeing a story reflected in a child's eyes. Here, surrounded by curious young minds at the Fravashi Academy, I am sharing a tale with a puppet friend. This is where the magic is most real, in these moments of shared wonder and laughter.

A story isn't confined to four walls. On my heritage tale walks, the city itself becomes the stage. Here I am, sharing the hidden mysteries of Basavanagudi, where every stone and tree has a story to tell.

Even in a formal setting like the IIM Bangalore Orators Club, a story can break down walls. This is me, lost in the telling, using my hands and heart to bring a narrative to life for an audience of academicians and entrepreneurs.

A story is a multi-sensory experience. At the India Habitat Centre in Delhi, I combined a talk with a performance, using traditional Pattachitra art to make myths from across the world feel immediate and alive.

A book is a story waiting to be told. At the Kahani Box bookstore, I found a beautiful space to share tales with children and grown ups. It is a profound feeling to see a story leap off the page and into the hearts of the listeners.

Literature festivals are a gathering of kindred spirits. Standing here at the Ooty Literary Festival, I felt a deep sense of connection, ready to share my thoughts on how epics and echoes of ancient tales continue to shape our lives.

About this collection

My sessions are not about sitting back and watching. If you are hiring me for a school or corporate event, expect us to get hands-on. We use masks, puppets, and rhythm to break down barriers, whether we are in a classroom or a boardroom. My goal is to help your group find their own voice through the stories we share, so come prepared to participate, not just listen.

Storytelling is often mistaken for a one-way performance, but my work is about the exchange. When I step into a space, be it a literature festival in Ooty or a leadership summit at IIM Bangalore, I look for the pulse of the audience. I believe that every listener has an inner voice, or Antardhwani, waiting to be heard. My work involves creating a bridge to that voice.

I do not just speak; I use tools like Japanese Kamishibai, puppets, and traditional Indian folklore. For schools and institutions, this transforms abstract lessons into tangible, memorable experiences. In corporate settings, we focus on communication and empathy, using the ancient art of narrative to solve modern team dynamics.

Beyond the stage, I take these stories to the streets. My heritage tale walks in places like Basavanagudi allow us to see history not in textbooks, but in the stones, trees, and local cafes. We walk, talk, and uncover the myths embedded in our city's landscape.

Whether you are looking for a 60-minute interactive session for a birthday party or a deep-dive masterclass for your organization, I tailor the narrative to fit the environment. Stories are flexible. They adapt to the room, the mood, and the people sitting before me.

I have spent 45 years learning that the simplest way to connect is through a story. I am not here to lecture, but to help you and your group discover the magic hidden in everyday moments. Let us create a space where everyone feels heard.
