The 'Kaccha Site Meeting' Advantage
Before we order a single material, we bring the design to your site. This simple, hands-on step turns blueprints into a space you can actually walk through.
This is the first step in my on-site execution process, the Kaccha Site Meeting. It’s a collaborative session where I, the client, and the carpenters all meet on-site to align on the plan before any permanent work begins.
To ensure complete clarity, carpenters create raw or 'kaccha' furniture boxes. This allows us to check the scale, placement, and proportions of key elements like cabinets or counters directly within the space.
Here, we are using tape to mark out the exact footprint of furniture and equipment. This simple technique gives the client a real-world sense of the final layout and helps visualize the flow of movement through the room.
While 3D views are helpful, physical mock-ups allow clients to grasp the scale and feel of a space much more effectively. This mock-up of a kitchen unit helps confirm dimensions and functionality in a way a screen cannot.
The primary importance of this meeting is to visualize furniture placement and scale before final work starts. This proactive step significantly reduces the chance of errors and costly rework down the line.
A little preparation goes a long way. During the kaccha meeting, we make final adjustments to the plan, like confirming the height of a cabinet, which ensures a smoother and more efficient execution phase.
About The 'Kaccha Site Meeting' Advantage
Before we hammer a single nail, we mark your floor with masking tape and place raw plywood boxes to show you exactly how your room will feel. It is the difference between guessing based on a 3D screen and knowing exactly how much space you will have for your morning coffee or that extra office filing cabinet. By walking through the space with carpenters before finalizing, we catch flow issues that no software can predict.
Why We Do It
Many interior projects in Mumbai suffer from 'post-execution regret'—the feeling that a room looks good on paper but feels cramped in reality. Our Kaccha Site Meeting is the antidote. We do not just show you a 3D render; we stand in your room and physically map out the ergonomics.
The Process: Think, Design, Build
- Tape Marking: We lay out the exact footprint of your furniture on the floor. You walk through the area to test the circulation—is the path to your desk clear? Is there enough room to open the cabinet drawers fully?
- Raw Mock-ups: We create 'kaccha' (raw) furniture boxes. This lets you touch the height of a counter or the depth of a shelf. It makes a massive difference for retail owners deciding where to place their point-of-sale or for offices finalizing workstation widths.
- Collaborative Adjustment: Because our carpenters are there with us, we can make instant height and depth adjustments. This eliminates the need for expensive rework later.
Why it Matters for Your Space
Whether it is a compact office or a high-traffic retail store, this step ensures your money goes into building something that actually works for your daily routine. We take this time to sync with the team on site so that the final installation is as seamless as possible. This is not just about design; it is about site supervision and making sure your vision survives the reality of construction.
