Foundational Salon Skills: Threading & Skin Therapy Training
Master the core techniques that every beauty professional needs. My practical training in Badarpur covers everything from precise threading to relaxing skin therapies, designed to get you salon-ready.
There is so much passion in these young girls to learn a skill. Here, the entire class is practicing head massage techniques on each other. This is the energy I love to see.
A practical demo of eyebrow threading. I show my students how to hold the thread and where to start to create the perfect arch.
For eyebrows that are sparse in the front, there is a right way to thread. I teach my students to start from the arch and work their way in, instead of starting from the front, to avoid making them look thinner.
I am demonstrating the basics of how to hold and operate a thread for hair removal. The 'scissor' motion of the thread is what catches and removes the hair.
This is a threading training session. I explain how to hold the thread with the right tension and use small, quick movements to make the process less painful for the client.
A student takes her thread test. After learning the technique, she practices on a real person to get comfortable with the process.
I am showing my students how to do upper lip threading without moving around the client. You just need to change your hand position to get the right angle.
Here, one of my senior students is guiding the junior ones during a threading practice session. I encourage my students to help each other learn and grow.
All my students get to do facial practicals. I am guiding a student through the massage steps, ensuring she applies the right pressure and uses the correct motions.
This is a basic facial class where I am demonstrating the different massage strokes. Here, I am explaining the 'uplifting' technique on the cheeks.
About Essential Salon Skills: Skin, Threading & More
In my class, we do not just talk theory. You will learn the exact angle to hold the thread for painless upper lip work and master the pressure needed for relaxing facial massage strokes. I stand right there watching every move, correcting your hand position, because when you work on real clients later, there is no room for hesitation. This training is about getting your hands so comfortable with the tools that you feel like a pro from day one.
Learning the 'Hunar'
Beauty is a skill that stays with you for life. My salon skills module at the Badarpur academy is built for those who want to move past boring theory and get straight to the practice. We focus on the basics that actually earn you money in a salon.
What you will master:
- Threading & Waxing: You will learn to use the 'scissor' motion of the thread to catch hair efficiently without causing pain. We also cover professional bean wax application for tricky areas like the nose to remove blackheads.
- Skin & Massage: Learn the science of facial massage. I teach you specific strokes like 'uplifting' and 'scissor' movements, along with how to handle products like Korean facials and fruit packs safely. You will learn how to diagnose skin types and provide a service that makes a client want to return.
- Practical Workflow: We practice on mannequins and fellow students. You will make mistakes, and that is exactly how you learn. By the end, you will not just know the steps, you will know how to adjust your technique based on the client's skin and sensitivity.
This is not a space for certificates that hang on the wall. This is a place to learn how to stand on your own two feet. If you are ready to do the work and learn the craft, come join my next batch.
