Diagnostic & Repair
- System Health Check: Complete diagnosis of the NVR/DVR unit to identify hard drive errors or recording failures.
- Signal Restoration: Troubleshooting blue screens, flickering feeds, or signal loss for up to 4 cameras.
- Connector Replacement: Re-crimping and replacing up to 4 damaged BNC (Analog) or RJ45 (IP) connectors.
- Power Check: Testing SMPS voltage output with a multimeter to ensure cameras receive stable power.
Configuration & Handover
- Settings Reset: Resetting admin passwords, adjusting timestamps, and configuring motion detection zones.
- Remote Viewing: Re-connecting the system to the internet and setting up the mobile app on the owner's smartphone.
- User Training: A 15-minute hands-on tutorial teaching playback, zoom controls, and footage export.
Per Camera Installation & Replacement Labor
Physical Installation
- Swap & Mount: Removal of faulty units and secure installation of new Bullet, Dome, or PTZ cameras on walls or ceilings.
- Waterproofing: Sealing connectors using PVC Junction Boxes or weather-seal tape to prevent moisture damage and rust.
Configuration
- Angle Adjustment: Fine-tuning the camera view to cover maximum area and minimize blind spots.
- Image Tuning: Configuring OSD settings including 'Starlight' mode for color night vision and WDR for backlit areas.
- PTZ Setup: Configuring Pan-Tilt-Zoom limits and patrol paths for supported hardware.

- De-cluttering: Unplugging, untangling, and straightening incoming coaxial or CAT6 cables at the NVR location.
- Bundling: Grouping cables using Velcro straps and zip ties for a clean, professional aesthetic.
- Cable Identification: Labeling individual cables using numbering ferrules or tags for easy identification of rooms.
Rack Optimization
- Mounting: Re-mounting NVRs, switches, and power supplies to ensure proper airflow and cooling.
- Termination: Re-punching loose I/O modules or patch panels to ensure tight connectivity.
- Cleanup: Removal of dust and cobwebs from inside the rack cabinet and equipment fans.

- Includes 3-5 hours of labor for a senior technician and an assistant.

I see a lot of people stressed with their CCTV setup. Sometimes the cameras stop recording, sometimes the screen just goes blue or glitchy. Honestly, most of these problems come from old equipment, messy wires, or just systems set up in a hurry. I handle CCTV camera troubleshooting almost daily, so I know the common issues and the weird ones too.
What I Do
- Full system check-up - I go through every camera, NVR/DVR, and connection to make sure nothing is missed.
- Repairs and upgrades - If your old camera isn't working, I can replace it or upgrade your whole system. I usually recommend IP POE camera upgrade because the picture is miles better. For night color view, those Starlight cameras are solid.
- Special camera setups - Need to cover a big area? I can set up 180-degree cams, or PTZ camera installation if you want to zoom and pan.
- Solar-powered options - If your place doesn't have electricity, I can add solar 4G cameras.
My Style
Cable mess? I don’t like it either. Security system cable management is my thing - I make sure your wiring is neat and reliable, so you don’t get random failures. I work mostly with Tiandy but also fix Hikvision, Dahua, and UNV setups. Network issues with your switches or server rack? I sort that too.
