This is the heart of my work. A collection of moments where the wild stopped, looked back, and shared its story through my lens.

This is Chota Matka, a warrior from Tadoba. I believe every scar on an animal's face tells a story of survival and resilience. My goal is to capture that story, to show the individual spirit within the wild, creating images that go beyond just a picture and become a testament to their life.

Staring into the eyes of a mountain gorilla in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a profound experience. With over 98% of our DNA shared, their intelligent and calm gaze is a powerful reminder of our connection to the natural world and the urgent need to protect these critically endangered relatives.

A tigress guides her cub along the riverbanks in Corbett National Park. This quiet moment of teaching and protection is what I seek to document. It’s not just about the big cats, but about the continuation of their lineage and the fragile ecosystems they depend on.

An elephant walks across the plains of Amboseli, Kenya, as the sun sets behind it. This image, for me, captures the gentle strength and immense presence of these giants. My work often focuses on placing these animals in their vast environments to convey a sense of scale and solitude.

Deep in the misty forests of Singalila National Park, I was fortunate to document this intimate moment of a Red Panda mother with her cubs. These endangered animals are shy and elusive, and capturing their family life is crucial for raising awareness about the threats they face from deforestation and poaching.

In the Sundarbans, where land and water meet, a lone bird perches on a skeletal tree. I use high-key and minimalist compositions like this to create a sense of poetry and space, showing that the beauty of wildlife is not just in the animal itself, but in its relationship with the environment.

A cheetah mother, patient and calm, is swarmed by her playful cubs in the Masai Mara. Video allows me to capture the dynamic interactions and behaviors that a still image cannot. These are the unscripted, authentic moments that reveal the personality and social bonds of wildlife.

This award-winning photograph from the Thar Desert is a result of patience and understanding the ecosystem. My work often involves documenting rare and endangered species in challenging environments to bring global recognition to their plight and the need for conservation.

About Featured

I do not believe in chasing animals for a photo. My approach is strictly ethical and unobtrusive, focusing on documenting the true life of the species, from their survival struggles to their family bonds. Each image here results from days spent in the field, waiting for the right moment to capture a story that is not just seen, but felt.

This portfolio brings together my most significant work, highlighting species that need our protection. When I document a tiger like Chota Matka, I am not looking for a generic portrait. I am looking for the scars and the history that define his character. My work requires understanding the ecosystem just as much as the camera settings. I shoot with a Nikon Z8, but the gear is secondary to the field craft.

I have collaborated with research groups, NGOs, and forest departments, always following strict ethical guidelines to ensure zero disturbance. Whether it is the high-altitude forests of the Himalayas or the wetlands of the Sundarbans, I approach every shoot with the goal of creating assets that drive action, whether for fundraising, reporting, or awareness campaigns. My work has been recognized by global competitions like BigPicture, which serves as a platform to amplify the voices of the animals I document. If your publication or organization needs imagery that goes beyond surface-level beauty to tell a real story, I am ready to help document the truth.
