I'm a conservation photographer and storyteller documenting the lives of animal survivors, from tigers to rare primates. My work is an ethical tribute to their resilience and a call for their protection.

This is Chota Matka, a warrior from Tadoba. I believe every scar on an animal's face tells a story of survival and resilience. My goal is to capture that story, to show the individual spirit within the wild, creating images that go beyond just a picture and become a testament to their life.

Staring into the eyes of a mountain gorilla in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a profound experience. With over 98% of our DNA shared, their intelligent and calm gaze is a powerful reminder of our connection to the natural world and the urgent need to protect these critically endangered relatives.

A tigress guides her cub along the riverbanks in Corbett National Park. This quiet moment of teaching and protection is what I seek to document. It’s not just about the big cats, but about the continuation of their lineage and the fragile ecosystems they depend on.

An elephant walks across the plains of Amboseli, Kenya, as the sun sets behind it. This image, for me, captures the gentle strength and immense presence of these giants. My work often focuses on placing these animals in their vast environments to convey a sense of scale and solitude.

Deep in the misty forests of Singalila National Park, I was fortunate to document this intimate moment of a Red Panda mother with her cubs. These endangered animals are shy and elusive, and capturing their family life is crucial for raising awareness about the threats they face from deforestation and poaching.

In the Sundarbans, where land and water meet, a lone bird perches on a skeletal tree. I use high-key and minimalist compositions like this to create a sense of poetry and space, showing that the beauty of wildlife is not just in the animal itself, but in its relationship with the environment.

This award-winning photograph from the Thar Desert is a result of patience and understanding the ecosystem. My work often involves documenting rare and endangered species in challenging environments to bring global recognition to their plight and the need for conservation.

My Story

Mumbai's chaos? Love it, but my heart's out in the wild. Diwali lights are cool, but nothing beats locking eyes with a gorilla in Bwindi or catching the pain in Chota Matka’s eyes at Tadoba. My camera’s not just for pretty shots – it’s for telling their stories. Won the BigPicture award last year, sure, but real joy is watching a tigress with her cubs and hoping my work does some good for them.
