About Your Daily Skincare Guide

One simple change that actually works: apply your moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp after washing. This locks in hydration better than waiting for your face to dry completely. It is such a small step, but it makes a huge difference in keeping your barrier healthy—especially if you are dealing with dryness or irritation.

The Truth About Layering

Applying products in the right order is just as important as the products themselves. The golden rule is simple: move from the lightest consistency to the heaviest. Start with your serum, follow with a moisturizer, and finish with sunscreen during the day.

Morning vs. Night

  • Morning: This is for protection. Use a Vitamin C serum if you have pigmentation, followed by a moisturizer and, most importantly, sunscreen. I cannot stress this enough—sunscreen is non-negotiable every single day.
  • Night: This is for repair. If you are using active ingredients like Retinols or exfoliating acids (like Glycolic or Salicylic acid), use them at night. These are photosensitive, and applying them in the morning can actually cause reverse pigmentation and sun sensitivity.

Why Your Soap Might Be the Problem

Many of you are still using regular antibacterial soaps because you think they clean better. They don't. Those harsh soaps strip your skin of natural oils and disrupt your pH balance, leading to dryness and compromised skin. Switch to gentle, pH-balanced syndet bars. Your skin barrier will thank you.

Stop Chasing Viral Hacks

My inbox is full of patients struggling because they tried a 'miracle' hack they saw on a reel. If a product promises overnight results, it is almost certainly a scam. Healthy skin takes time, patience, and consistency. We don't need a 10-step routine; we need a targeted, evidence-based one that addresses your specific skin type and concerns.
