Our annual showcase, 'Birang', is the highlight of our year. It is a full-scale production where students from all our batches, from 4-year-olds to adults, come together to perform in professional venues like the CMRIT Auditorium. You get the full experience: professional stage lighting, costumes, and the rush of performing for a live audience of hundreds.
Then there is 'KALA', our student-led showcase. We started this to give our dancers a creative voice. Here, students self-choreograph their own pieces. It is less about technical perfection and more about individual expression, building confidence, and growing as an artist. We have seen everything from contemporary solos to experimental fusion pieces in these intimate sessions.
For those interested in narrative work, our dance dramas like 'Draupadi' and 'Sunderkand' explore storytelling through movement. These productions are deep dives into classical and semi-classical forms, often involving 20 or more students and months of dedicated rehearsals.
