How I Approach Scar Repair

When you come to me for acne scars, we start by looking at the type of scar—whether it's atrophic, pitted, or textural unevenness. My goal is collagen remodeling. Unlike simple facials that treat the surface, my approach targets the deeper dermal layers to encourage the skin to rebuild itself.

The Technologies I Use

• Laser Resurfacing: I use Erbium YAG, Erbium Glass, and CO2 laser systems to precisely remove damaged surface cells and stimulate new collagen growth. This is particularly effective for deeper texture concerns.
• Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling: This is my go-to for many patients. By creating controlled micro-channels in the skin and delivering thermal energy, I can tighten the skin and smooth out pits without the prolonged downtime of more invasive surgeries.
• Microdermabrasion: For milder texture issues or 'pits,' I use controlled exfoliation to polish the skin surface, improving clarity and tone.

What to Expect

Treating scars is a commitment. It is rarely a one-off session. Depending on the depth of the scars, I typically map out a series of sessions spaced out to allow your skin to heal and produce new collagen in between. We always end our sessions with strict aftercare advice to protect your skin as it repairs.
