I do not just treat skin conditions. I actively research, author, and teach the science behind them to ensure my patients get care based on facts, not trends.

At a Skin Awareness Month event, I am discussing the complexities of diagnosing and treating hyperpigmentation. It is critical to differentiate between conditions like melasma, LPP, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) to select the right treatment molecules for each patient.

Speaking at the DCD 6th World Congress, I presented on new molecules for treating Atopic Dermatitis. Staying at the forefront of dermatological research allows me to bring the latest and most effective treatments, like new topical creams, to my patients suffering from chronic skin conditions.

This was at the live book launch for the "Year Book of Acne 2024." It is always a proud moment to contribute to the academic resources that help other dermatologists improve their management of complex conditions like acne.

Learning and teaching are two sides of the same coin. Here I am at a hands-on workshop at ACAAD in Chennai, demonstrating techniques and sharing knowledge with other doctors. Continuous education is essential in our field.

I believe in speaking the truth and putting forward new ideas based on scientific evidence. As a dermatologist, it is my responsibility to be a trendsetter in providing correct information and effective treatments, not just to imitate what is popular.

As a co-editor of the "Comprehensive Guide to Urticaria," my goal was to create an essential resource for understanding and managing this complex condition, also known as hives.

The "Year Book of JAK Inhibitors" is a publication I co-edited, focusing on a newer class of drugs that are revolutionizing the treatment of several autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases.

About this collection

My approach to skin care is rooted in academic rigor. When I co-edit books like the Year Book of Acne or present on new molecules for atopic dermatitis, it is not for the accolades. It is because the technology we use to treat you, like CO2 lasers or advanced biologicals, evolves every few months. By staying at the forefront of these medical advancements, I ensure that the treatment plan you receive at my clinic is built on the latest clinical data, not yesterday's guesswork.

Many people ask why a practicing dermatologist spends so much time writing books and attending conferences. The answer is simple, dermatology is changing faster than you might think. From JAK inhibitors revolutionizing autoimmune skin care to new guidelines on sunscreen efficacy, staying updated is non-negotiable. If I am not updated, my patient is at risk of receiving outdated advice.

Academic Contribution

I have co-edited multiple medical resources, including the Year Book of Acne, Comprehensive Guide to Urticaria, and Biologics and Small Molecules in Dermatology. These are not just textbooks for students; they are the manuals for clinicians managing complex skin health issues.

Sharing Knowledge

I frequently present at forums like the DCD World Congress and ACAAD workshops. Whether I am demonstrating injection techniques or discussing the management of pigmentation disorders like melasma and LPP, my goal is to raise the standard of care across the fraternity.

The Result for You

When you visit my clinic in Rajouri Garden, you are not getting a cookie-cutter approach. You get a diagnosis backed by my academic research. Whether we are tackling chronic psoriasis or managing skin issues during pregnancy, I apply the same protocols I write about in my publications. We do not guess, and we definitely do not follow internet trends. We use evidence-based medicine to get results.
