Evidence-Based In-Clinic Skin & Hair Treatments
I’m here to stop the ‘skin abuse’ and marketing hype. Here is a look at the treatments I actually recommend, backed by science, not influencers.
GFC, or Growth Factor Concentrate therapy, is an advanced treatment for hair loss and skin rejuvenation that I offer. Unlike PRP, GFC uses a high concentration of your own growth factors without the cells, leading to more consistent results with less inflammation. It is effective for hair restoration, reducing melasma, and treating acne scars.
Here I explain GFC therapy in Tamil. It is an advanced form of PRP for hair loss. Instead of injecting platelets, we extract and inject pure growth factors from your blood. This results in less pain and inflammation, and the results are more reliable, with visible improvement often seen within three sessions.
This is a close-up look at a Microneedling with Radiofrequency (MNRF) treatment, one of the most effective procedures I use for acne scars. The combination of microneedles and radiofrequency energy stimulates collagen production deep within the skin to rebuild its structure and smooth out pits and uneven texture.
PRP and GFC are excellent for hair restoration, but more is not always better. Some clinics recommend excessive sessions, but your hair follicles reach a saturation point. I recommend no more than six sessions, spaced four weeks apart, followed by a 6 to 12 month break to avoid stress on the scalp and diminishing returns.
Following post-procedure instructions for treatments like Botox is crucial for achieving the best results. Here are five things to avoid: drinking alcohol, taking hot showers, massaging your face, napping for at least four hours, and working out for 24 hours. These precautions prevent bruising and ensure the product settles correctly.
HydraFacial is a popular treatment, but you need to be aware of fakes. Many salons and unqualified aestheticians advertise it without using the real machine. Before spending your money, always ask the provider to show you their authenticity certificate to ensure you are receiving a genuine and safe procedure.
This is an awareness video in Tamil about fake HydraFacial treatments. A real HydraFacial machine has a specific look, and the clinic must have an authenticity certificate. Don't be fooled by cheap imitations; make sure you are paying for the real, effective procedure by verifying with your provider.
Laser hair reduction is a cost-effective and almost painless solution for unwanted hair. The laser targets the hair root, destroying it to prevent further growth and delivering permanent results. It is a much better long-term option than continuous waxing or shaving.
About In-Clinic Treatments
If you are planning to get a HydraFacial, please be careful. Many salons and unqualified aestheticians advertise this treatment without owning the actual machine. You are spending your hard-earned money, so you deserve the real thing. Before starting, always ask the provider for an authenticity certificate. If they cannot show you one, they are likely using a cheap replica that provides zero medical benefit and could potentially irritate your skin.
No Marketing Gimmicks, Just Science
I treat skin and hair concerns based on evidence, not what’s trending on Instagram. Whether you are dealing with acne scars or hair thinning, I focus on procedures that have a proven medical track record.
My Core Treatments
- MNRF (Microneedling with Radiofrequency): If you are tired of acne scars and pits, this is my go-to. It combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to remodel deep scar tissue. It involves numbing and some downtime, but it is effective because it targets the structure of your skin, not just the surface.
- GFC Therapy for Hair: People confuse PRP and GFC all the time. GFC is superior because it is completely acellular. We extract a high concentration of your own growth factors, leading to less pain, less inflammation, and faster results than standard PRP. I advise my patients to stop wasting money on 10-session packages; your follicles hit a saturation point, and anything beyond six sessions is often unnecessary.
- Botox & Fine Lines: I use FDA-approved products like Allergan or Dysport. This isn't just about injections; it is about muscle mapping. We calculate the exact dosage needed to relax dynamic lines without freezing your face. I am very strict about aftercare—no gym for 24 hours, no lying down for 4 hours. Follow the rules, and you get the results.
Where To Find Me
I practice out of Aesthetica Veda clinics in Whitefield, HRBR Layout, and Koramangala. If you are struggling with a skin concern and want an honest diagnosis without the fluff, come see me. We will assess your skin first, and then decide if a procedure is even necessary. Let's make skincare about science, okay?
