Real Dermatology: My Philosophy & Clinical Approach
I don't follow trends. I follow science. Whether it is the latest in aesthetic medicine or explaining why a viral skincare hack won't work, my approach is transparent, evidence-based, and focused on your long-term skin health.
I was honored to be invited to speak on a panel about Skin Boosters at Aesthetic Medicine India 2025. It is one of my favorite procedures to perform because of the beautiful, natural-looking rejuvenation it provides.
Sharing my clinical experience with fellow dermatologists is something I am passionate about. Discussing the nuances of skin booster treatments helps elevate the standards of care for everyone.
Panel discussions like this one are a great way to exchange knowledge on the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine. Here, we are discussing different approaches to using skin boosters for optimal results.
A wide shot of our panel on Skin Boosters at the Aesthetic Medicine India conference. It is always inspiring to be on stage with such esteemed colleagues in the field of dermatology.
Posing with my fellow panelists after a very insightful discussion. Continuous learning and collaboration are essential to providing the best possible care for my patients.
I was recently featured on HappiestHealth.com to discuss whether the viral trend of LED masks is hype or helpful. As a dermatologist, I believe in educating the public on the science behind these devices.
My expert insights on LED light therapy were just featured. In the article, I cover everything you need to know before you consider using one of these viral face masks at home.
What do the different colors of LED light actually do? In this graphic, I break it down simply: blue light helps with acne, green with pigmentation, red with anti-aging, and yellow helps calm and heal the skin.
Do I use LED therapy in my practice? Yes. It is a part of many medi-facial treatments at my clinic because it is effective for calming skin, reducing dullness, shrinking acne, and boosting healing after other procedures.
There is a big difference between in-clinic and at-home LED masks. My clinic devices use stronger, medical-grade wavelengths for real results, while at-home versions are much gentler and are best for maintenance only.
About My Philosophy & A Look Inside the Clinic
When you visit my clinic, you won't find a menu of one-size-fits-all treatments. I start every consultation by assessing your skin history, lifestyle, and actual goals, not just what's trending on social media. If a procedure isn't right for your skin type, I will be the first one to tell you no. We prioritize safety and proven results over quick fixes that might look good in a photo but aren't sustainable.
The Science, Not The Hype
Skincare isn't magic. It's medical. Many patients come to me confused by viral trends like IV glutathione or dangerous DIY hacks. My job is to act as a filter, separating marketing hype from treatments that actually change skin biology.
Clinical Standards & Continuous Learning
Whether it's skin boosters, lasers, or simple medi-facials, I approach every treatment with a clinical mindset. This is why I am actively involved in forums like Aesthetic Medicine India and regularly featured in publications like ABP News or Happiest Health. It is not just about keeping up with trends; it is about rigorous academic learning and peer collaboration. I bring this level of expertise into the clinic, ensuring that when we use advanced tools like LED light therapy or Q-switched lasers, we are using them at the right settings for your specific needs.
What to Expect at My Clinic
When you walk into my clinic in Mumbai, you get a personalized plan. We discuss the 'why' behind every recommendation.
- Safety First: All products are unboxed in front of you. You know exactly what is going into your skin.
- Honest Consultations: If you don't need a procedure, I won't recommend it. My goal is healthy skin, not maximum billing.
- Long-term Vision: We aim for resilient, healthy skin, not just a temporary glow.
You are not just a client. You are a patient, and your skin health is my responsibility.
Saloni Vora-Gala
I believe dermatology is a dialogue, not a lecture. I am always learning—reading new research or engaging with fellow experts—so I can offer you the safest, most effective treatments for your unique skin. When I’m not in the clinic, I’m likely chasing stories in old forts or just finding quiet moments to reset.
