Signature Wedding Mashups & Genre Blending
I don't just play playlists; I build sets. From 90s Bollywood nostalgia to underground techno drops, I blend genres live to keep the energy shifting all night.
This is a signature blend of mine: taking a traditional Sufi-style track like "Mera Piya Ghar Aaya" and transforming it into a modern techno anthem. This is how I bridge tradition and modernity on the dance floor.
A live mashup of "Om Shanti Om" and "Chak De Fatte". I love mixing spiritual, peaceful vibes with powerful, high-energy beats to create a unique journey for the crowd.
What if a soulful Punjabi track got lost in a Berlin underground rave? This is my techno remix of "Door Jaan Nu," an example of how I experiment with cross-cultural sounds.
Here, I mashed up the soulful "Nadaan Parindey" with Eric Prydz's progressive house classic "Opus." It's a journey from introspective rock to pure electronic euphoria.
A live mix of two iconic AR Rahman tracks, "Taal Se Taal Mila" and "Chaiyya Chaiyya." Blending these two classics together creates a powerful moment of Bollywood nostalgia.
This transition takes the crowd from the mellow vibes of AP Dhillon's "Excuses" straight into the high-energy disco of "Zindagi Meri Dance Dance," completely flipping the mood on the dance floor.
A mashup of two party anthems, "Subha Hone Na De" and "Laila Main Laila." I create these live blends to keep the energy at its peak without missing a beat.
A smooth transition between two Shah Rukh Khan classics, "It's The Time To Disco" and "Koi Mil Gaya." Dropping nostalgic SRK tracks is a guaranteed way to change the energy of a night.
In this set, I bridged generations by mixing Karan Aujla's "For a Reason" with the classic "Mera Piya Ghar Aaya." It's a way to get the groom's friends and the parents vibing on the same dance floor.
A remix of "Woh Lamhe" that brings a modern, electronic feel to the classic emotional track. I love re-imagining old favorites for today's dance floors.
About Signature Mashups & Genre Blending
When I build a set, I'm not just crossfading tracks; I'm reading the room in real-time. Whether it's taking a soulful 90s classic and dropping it into a heavy afro-house beat or syncing a dhol groove with techno, my focus is on the transition. You won't hear pre-mixed loops from me—every beat match and drop is live, reacting to how you and your guests are moving on the floor.
Your wedding isn't a festival stage, but it deserves the same production quality. My approach to signature mashups comes from years of testing what works on a dance floor and what falls flat. I bring a library of custom edits built over a decade, but the real magic happens in the mix.
Bridging Generations
The challenge in Indian weddings is keeping the parents happy while the younger crowd wants a rave. My solution is genre-blending. I might take an iconic SRK track, slow the tempo to keep the family engaged, and then flip the drop into a high-energy techno remix. This keeps the dance floor full because the music evolves as the night progresses. Yeh dil da maamla ae (it’s a matter of the heart).
Technical Rig
I perform using professional Pioneer DJ CDJs and a MacBook Pro setup. This is standard for club gigs, and I bring that same setup to weddings. I don't use sync buttons or pre-recorded mixes. Every mashup you hear—like mixing classic Sufi vocals with deep house beats—is done live. If the crowd is feeling a certain mood, I can pivot the entire genre in seconds.
Collaboration
I am always open to mixing my electronic sets with live elements. If you have a percussionist or a dhol player, I know how to lock their beat with my tracks for a jugalbandi session. Whether we are in a palace in Jodhpur or a private venue in Delhi, the goal is simple: make the sound feel like a seamless journey that reflects your personality.
