Commercial shoots demand more than a good cut. I’m on set to ensure the hair stays sharp under the heat, the lights, and every take.

About Behind the Scenes: Ad Shoots & Events
On set, one cut isn't enough. Whether it's a high-profile brand campaign like Puma or a media appearance, I manage the look from the vanity van to the final shot. I handle the sweat, the flyaways, and the quick changes between wardrobe swaps so the creative team can keep their focus on the frame.
When you’re shooting for hours under studio lights, the hair that looked great at 9 AM won't stay that way by noon. That’s the reality of commercial work. My job is to be the backup that makes sure the look doesn’t drop. I bring a full kit designed for high-resolution cameras: high-hold sprays that don't look crusty, texturizing dust to add volume without shine, and matte products for facial hair to keep sweat in check.
I work closely with directors and photographers to understand the mood. Is it a sporty cricket campaign where the hair needs to look rugged and natural? Or is it a formal brand shoot where every strand needs to stay in place? I’m there to adjust the style when the outfit changes, ensuring the consistency matches the brand's vision.
I don’t just show up and leave. I’m on standby for continuity checks. If the lighting changes or we move from the vanity area to a poolside set, I’m right there with the comb and clippers. My kit includes backup tools, so if a dryer blows or a flat iron dies, we keep shooting without a pause.
