Heavy-Duty Paver Patios & Walkways
Foundation & Prep
- Clearance of existing soil/grass up to 6 inches depth.
- Installation of 4-inch compacted aggregate base or PCC sub-base to prevent sinking.
- 1 to 1.5 inch river sand cushioning layer.
Material & Installation
- M-30 to M-40 grade concrete pavers (60mm-80mm) or 25mm natural sandstone.
- Options for Cobblestone, Hexagonal, or Roman patterns.
- Contrasting soldier-course border using darker pavers.
Finishing
- Concrete edge restraints (haunching) to lock perimeter.
- Polymeric sand joint filling to inhibit weeds and ant hills.
- Power wash cleanup.

- Excavation of organic shape (approx 6ft x 8ft) with stepped plant shelves.
- Waterproofing via heavy-duty EPDM liner or ferro-cement concrete shell.
Hardscape Features
- Coverage using 6-inch to 18-inch natural river boulders to hide liner.
- 1.5ft to 2ft high rock spillway/waterfall using slate or stone slabs.
- Decorative river gravel edging.

- Submersible recirculation pump and bio-filtration media.
- Supply of aquatic plants (Water Lilies, Lotus) and marginal reeds.

- Permanent circular pit (3ft to 4ft internal diameter).
- Inner lining with high-heat resistant fire bricks.
- Exterior cladding with stacked stone veneer or split-face blocks.
- Natural sandstone or granite capstone rim.

Seating Wall
- 10-12 running feet of curved masonry wall (18-20 inches high).
- Structural block core with decorative stone veneer facing.
- 12-14 inch wide smooth-cut stone slab coping for seating surface.

What I Build
My main thing is hardscaping. That’s patios, walkways, fire pits, seating walls, even ponds. If you’ve got a blank slate or an old patio you’re sick of, I handle the full project. I design and install everything needed for a usable, good-looking outdoor living area.

How I Work
I start with a solid plan and clear estimate. Prep the ground, lay the base, set every stone myself or with my crew. I keep things pretty straightforward, and I’ll show you how the project comes together, step by step.
Not Just Stone
I always think about how the stone fits with the bigger picture. I finish projects by adding mulch beds, new plants, or trees so everything looks like one piece, not just a patio dropped in a yard.

Hey, we’re Landscape Inc. Been around since ’84, right here in central Ohio. We’ve spent decades digging, planting, mowing – you name it. Got a kick out of turning boring yards into something folks actually want to hang out in. That ‘business of the month’ thing at Fidelity Federal? Yeah, that was cool, but honestly, seeing a plain backyard become a real outdoor living space is what keeps us going.
