About this collection
Drawing complex divine figures like Radha-Krishna or Ganesha on your hands requires intense focus and a very steady hand. For these specific designs, I use a triple-filtered, organic henna paste that allows for the ultra-fine lines needed to capture delicate facial expressions, ensuring the final stain is rich and clear.
The Meaning Behind Your Mehndi
In our culture, the bridal mehndi is not just a cosmetic choice. It is a 'Shubh' (auspicious) ritual that invites positivity and blessings into your new life. When I draw deities like Shiv-Parvati or Radha-Krishna, I am not just sketching; I am trying to capture the essence of devotion. Many of my brides choose these designs because they want their hands to tell a story of faith and grace.
My Approach to Divine Portraits
- Pre-Service Consultation: Before we start, we discuss which deities or sacred elements align with your family traditions. Whether it is a Ganesha motif for a smooth beginning or a Baraat scene that captures the festive mood, every element is planned.
- The Precision Process: These designs are high-detail work. My 'D's Gang' team and I work carefully on your hands and feet. I handle the primary portraits and facial features personally to ensure the expressions look lifelike, while my team assists with the intricate filling and shading that surrounds the centerpiece.
- Material Quality: Since these designs feature fine lines, the paste quality matters. I mix my own henna cones with fresh eucalyptus oil, which ensures that even the smallest facial features on the portrait stain dark and crisp.
Keeping It Relaxed
I know bridal sessions can be tiring. My instruction to you is always simple: 'Abhi hilana nahi do minute'. That tiny bit of patience creates a design that you will cherish in your wedding album forever. We keep the vibe chilled, play some music, and make sure you are comfortable throughout the process.
