Playful and Practical Kids' Rooms
We design rooms that go beyond just a cute look. Our focus is on safety, storage, and layouts that adapt as your child grows, creating a space for both quiet rest and active play.

About Playful & Practical Kids' Rooms
In our 'House of Pearls' project, we realized that a child's room is rarely just for sleeping. We focused on rounded joinery to prevent accidents and installed zone-based lighting, making the transition from nap time to playtime seamless. A room for a child should evolve as quickly as they do, using furniture that adapts to their growing needs rather than needing a full replacement in a few years.
Building for Growth
Designing for children requires balancing imagination with rigid safety standards. We treat a child's bedroom as a dynamic environment. We use BWR 710 marine-grade plywood for durability, combined with non-toxic, kid-safe paints and finishes that stand up to daily wear and tear.
Practical Design Principles
- Adaptable Layouts: We prioritize modular furniture that can be reconfigured. As a child moves from the toddler stage to school age, the room layout should accommodate new needs—like a dedicated study corner or extra storage—without requiring structural changes.
- Lighting Logic: A room needs layered lighting. We use warm, dimmable COB downlights for ambient mood and focused LED strips for reading nooks or activity areas, ensuring the light levels are adjustable for sleep and study.
- Safety Features: Every edge is considered. From soft-close hinges from Hettich that prevent pinched fingers to rounded joinery on open shelving, safety is the foundation of every design choice we make.
We provide end-to-end execution across Mumbai and Pune. Whether you need a smart, minimalist room makeover or a complete parametric design for a new home, we handle the technical documentation, GFC drawings, and on-site supervision to ensure the render matches the reality.
Daisaria
I'm Karan, and along with Devansh, I ensure that our projects aren't just architectural statements—they are homes. We approach kids' rooms with the same rigour we use for skyscrapers, just with more imagination and soft edges.
