If your venue is intimate—like a living room or a quiet cafe—my solo acoustic sessions are perfect for keeping the vibe warm and conversational. For cocktail hours or larger gatherings, I often bring a talented guitarist to add that extra layer of sound, which really changes the whole atmosphere of the room.
Music is about making a real connection, not just playing songs in the background. When I perform, I'm constantly reading the crowd, feeling the room, and shifting between those old-school Lata-ji classics and modern tracks depending on what the moment needs.
My Approach to Live Music
- Solo vs. Duo: My solo setup with my guitar or ukulele is raw and personal. It is ideal if you want your guests to talk, laugh, and actually enjoy the music without it feeling overwhelming. If you need more energy for a cocktail night or a lively dinner, the duo setup provides that fuller, richer sound with a lead guitarist, which keeps the energy up.
- Song Selection: I mix Bollywood unplugged covers, retro classics, and Western pop hits. If you have specific favorites, like an Arijit Singh track or an Adele ballad, let me know in advance. I love taking requests because it makes the performance feel like it was curated just for your event.
- Technical Details: If you’re booking me, just ensure there is a decent PA system at the venue. I usually arrive 30 minutes early to check the sound and get settled, so that by the time your guests arrive, the music is already setting the tone.
