Climbing big mountains is about technical skill, deep preparation, and finding the grit to push through thin air. See our team in action on the world's most challenging peaks.

This is what it feels like to be on the edge of the world. Here, a climber practices rappelling on a sheer ice wall near Everest Base Camp, with the magnificent peak of Pumori standing guard. It's in these moments of intense focus, surrounded by raw beauty, that you find out what you're truly made of.

The summit of Kang Yatse II at 6,250 meters. This is the moment it's all for. Exhausted but elated, our team holds the Tiranga high, a symbol of pride and perseverance above the clouds in Ladakh. This is more than a climb; it's a story of teamwork and spirit.

History was made on this day. Chhonzin Angmo became the first blind female climber in the world to summit Mt. Everest. Her journey is a testament to the fact that the only vision you need is belief. We are humbled and honoured to have been a part of her story.

A moment of pure triumph on Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe. Standing above a sea of clouds, our climbers soak in a view that few will ever witness. This is the reward for every hard step taken on the journey to one of the Seven Summits.

A team briefing at Everest Base Camp. Before we take on the giants, we come together as a tribe. Here, our experienced leaders and Sherpa guides discuss strategy, safety, and the path ahead. Preparation and teamwork are the bedrock of every successful expedition.

Arriving in Antarctica is an experience in itself. This short video shows our ski-equipped aircraft landing on the ice runway, bringing climbers for the Vinson Massif expedition. This is the gateway to conquering the coldest and most remote continent on Earth.

Expedition life is about finding comfort in the basics. A warm meal of dal and chawal inside a tent at a high-altitude camp on Kang Yatse is more satisfying than any feast. It's these simple, shared moments that define the journey.

This is what an acclimatization rotation on Mount Everest looks like. Our team navigates the vast and challenging Western Cwm, moving between camps to prepare their bodies for the thin air of the death zone. Patience and proper acclimatization are key to climbing 8000ers.

Our CEO, Bharath, leading by example on the trail to Lhotse, the fourth highest mountain in the world. We believe in being on the ground, sharing the challenges and triumphs with our teams, and leading with experience, patience, and heart.

Prayer flags flutter against the stark white of a snowy ridge in Ladakh. In the Himalayas, every climb is also a spiritual journey, a connection to the mountains and the culture that surrounds them.

About Featured

Climbing 6000m peaks like Kang Yatse II or 8000ers like Everest is as much about patience as it is about strength. We build acclimatization rotations into every itinerary because rushing in thin air is not an option. Whether we are navigating the Khumbu Icefall or running technical workshops in the city, our focus remains on safety, technical proficiency, and making the hard, necessary call to turn back if the mountain conditions demand it.

Our Approach to High-Altitude Mountaineering

For us, mountaineering is not about checking boxes. It is about the process. Whether you are aiming for a technical 6000m peak in Ladakh or attempting a Seven Summits challenge like Kilimanjaro or Elbrus, our philosophy remains the same: safety first, ego last.

Training and Preparation

We believe you should be prepared before you reach the base of a mountain. We run technical workshops where you learn to jumar, rappel, and handle ropes. By the time you reach high altitude, these skills should be muscle memory. We also insist on proper acclimatization. We do not rush to the summit. We move between camps, let our bodies adapt to the thin air, and wait for the right weather window. Mountains do not care about schedules.

The Team on the Ground

Every expedition is led by experienced mountaineers. Our team includes Indian Everesters and local climbing Sherpas who know these peaks intimately. We manage logistics from the base camp dining tent to the emergency oxygen supply on the summit push. When you climb with us, you get:

  • Technical Support: 1:4 ratio for 6000m climbs, and 1:1 Sherpa support for 8000m giants.
  • Logistical Reliability: High-quality 4-season tents, portable toilets for high-altitude zones, and solar charging setups.
  • Real Nutrition: We prioritize food that works for the Indian palate. You will find dal and chawal at high camps because simple, warm food is what actually keeps you going at 5000m.

We are here to help you write your own story, even if that story involves turning back. Because at the end of the day, it is our climb, and we want you to come home safe.

We are Boots and Crampons, a team born from the mountains. We have spent years climbing from the Himalayas to Antarctica, and we believe in keeping it real. For us, it is not about the bragging rights, but about the grit, the simple meals in a tent, and the quiet strength we find along the way.
