About this collection
We don’t just take you up a mountain, we manage the risks involved in high-altitude technical climbing. Whether it’s navigating a slab avalanche or waiting for a weather window, our leaders make the tough calls to ensure the team returns safely. You will be doing real rope work and glacier travel, so we prioritize building your confidence and skill before the final summit push.
Preparing for High-Altitude Technical Climbs
Climbing above 6000m changes everything. It is not just about physical fitness; it is about understanding the mountain's rhythm. On expeditions like Kang Yatse or the Lobuche East ascent, you are not just walking uphill—you are learning to navigate crevassed glaciers, manage your oxygen consumption, and trust your rope partners.
Our Approach to Safety
The mountain always has the final say. We have turned back from summit pushes due to slab avalanches and unpredictable weather, and we will always prioritize that decision over ego. Our team includes certified mountaineers and Sherpa guides who bring decades of experience to the trail. We carry supplementary oxygen, oximeters, and medical kits, but more importantly, we carry the knowledge of when to turn around.
What to Expect
- Technical Skills: We focus on teaching you how to use crampons, ice axes, and ascenders properly.
- Logistics: We handle high-altitude camp setup, nutritious meal planning, and permit management, leaving you to focus on the climb.
- The Reality: Expect thin air, early starts, and cold nights. It is physically demanding, and you will be pushed out of your comfort zone, but that is where the real growth happens.
If you have previous trekking experience and are ready to cross into technical mountaineering, let us talk about your next goal.
