About this collection
I treat every ritual as a story, not just a series of events to cross off a list. During ceremonies like the haldi or mehendi, you won't find me directing you into stiff, awkward poses. Instead, I move around the crowd to capture those genuine, messy laughs and quiet, emotional looks that you will actually want to look back on. I am always looking for the raw human element, like the nervous excitement before the baraat or the tearful hug between siblings, rather than just the staged group photos.
While the main wedding day is grand, the ceremonies leading up to it are where your personality shines. Whether it is the vibrant chaos of a mehendi function or the intimate focus of a sindoor ritual, my goal is to document the day exactly as it feels.
My Approach to Wedding Rituals
I use a documentary style for rituals. This means I do not rely on constant flashes that ruin the mood or interrupt the flow of the ceremony. If the lighting is low during an evening phera or a sangeet, I know how to work with the available light to keep the atmosphere authentic.
Why Candid Photography Matters
Most of my clients prefer candid wedding photography because it brings back the actual memory. When you look at a photo of your grandmother laughing during the haldi or your friends dancing at the cocktail, you should feel the energy of that exact second. That is the philosophy behind my lens. I focus on:
- Genuine Reactions: Capturing the bride and groom's spontaneous expressions.
- Detail-Oriented Shots: Focusing on the henna patterns, the jewelry, and the small decor elements that you spent so much time planning.
- Emotional Storytelling: Creating a sequence of images that tells the story of the day from start to finish.
