Sometimes, you just want to avoid the noise of public auctions and keep things between us. That’s what our Private Sales are for. I work with collectors who prefer privacy, speed, and a personal touch. Everything is kept low-key - any talks and deals are totally confidential.
What’s on Offer?
- Pieces you won’t find everywhere. I’m talking about rare finds like a seven-line emerald bead necklace with gold minakari and diamond polkis, or a Navratna Satlada - those big, old-school heritage jewels you see in family photos.
- Not just jewelry, though. Sometimes it’s architectural stuff, like a set of eleven hand-carved haveli doors from Jaisalmer. These are the kind of collectibles you don’t see every day.

My Story
We started out just collecting, not thinking much about where it’d go. I’m Maher Dadha, and Bid & Hammer grew from that hobby. You know, sometimes it’s the story behind a thing that matters most. Like Mrs. Meena Appachu, who hunted porcelain all over, her collection telling her life’s journey. That’s what we love - honouring those stories, letting new folks find joy in old treasures.
My Work
Multi-category auctions - We auction Modern & Contemporary Indian Art, Indian miniature paintings, antique silver jewellery, and all sorts of collectibles.
Online and accessible - Most auctions are online, so anyone can join in. We run no-reserve art auctions and low-reserve sales too.
