About Bridal & Groom Portraits
Most people think portraits are about standing still, but I find the real character in the movement between shots. When I photograph a bride or groom, I look for the way you hold your gaze or how you interact with your surroundings, whether it is a quiet moment in a hotel room or a grand entrance at a palace, to create images that feel like a film still rather than a staged photo.
Beyond the Posed Shot
Photography is often about what you see, but for me, it is about what you feel in the minutes before you walk down the aisle. My approach to bridal and groom portraits focuses on capturing your genuine personality, not just your attire.
The Getting Ready Process
I treat the 'getting ready' phase as a vital part of your story. This is when the nerves, the laughter with your bridesmaids, and the quiet contemplation happen. I document the makeup application, the pinning of the dupatta, and the groom adjusting his turban not as chores, but as meaningful chapters of your day. These photos often end up being the ones you cherish the most because they show the raw, unfiltered version of you.
Architectural Portraits
Being based in Udaipur and Jaipur, I often shoot in historic palaces and heritage properties. I use this architecture to frame your portraits, playing with natural light, long staircases, and dramatic shadows to add a royal, timeless quality to your photos. Whether it is a solo bridal shot with a veil or a sharp groom portrait near a vintage car, the location becomes a character in your story.
How We Work Together
I keep the direction light. I don't believe in forcing rigid poses that make you feel uncomfortable. Instead, I suggest movements—like walking, twirling, or looking toward a specific light source—that allow me to catch you looking your best naturally. We will discuss your outfit details and venue aesthetics during our planning call so I can prepare the right lighting and angles before we even start shooting.
