First Enclosure Stand & Paddock Access
Entry & Essentials
- First Enclosure Ticket: One-day admission to the Members & Guests area providing better views than public stands.
- Mobile Phone Permit: Includes the mandatory surcharge fee required to carry a mobile device inside the gates.
- Official Race Book: Pocket booklet detailing race schedules, horse pedigrees, and jockey weights.
Viewing & Facilities
- Grandstand Seating: First-come-first-serve access to non-AC concrete or plastic seating.
- Paddock Access: View of the horses in the parade ring before the race.
- Betting Access: Entry to Totalizator pools and official betting counters.
- Amenities: Access to First Enclosure restrooms and pay-per-item cafeteria.
VIP Derby Day Hospitality Experience
Premium Access
- VIP Enclosure: Entry to the exclusive Turf Club House or event-specific AC marquee.
- Reserved Seating: Guaranteed table or lounge seating in a climate-controlled environment.
- Entertainment: Access to post-race live music or band performances on Derby days.
Food & Beverage
- Gourmet Dining: Unlimited buffet lunch or heavy High Tea spread featuring Indian and Continental cuisine.
- Beverage Package: Includes welcome drinks and limited alcoholic beverages (approx. 2 pints/cocktails) or unlimited soft drinks.
Strict Prerequisites
- Men's Dress Code: Full Lounge Suit or Blazer with tie is mandatory.
- Ladies' Dress Code: Formal dress or smart ensemble.
- Policy: Entry is denied without refund if the dress code is not met.
45-Minute Amateur Riding Session
Session Specs
- Duration: Strictly 45 minutes.
- Instruction: Group-setting guidance by a BARI instructor.
- Equipment: Provision of one riding school horse, saddle, and bridle.
Timing & Slots
- Morning Slot: 6:30 A.M. to 8:00 A.M.
- Evening Slot: 4:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
- Blackout Days: No classes on Tuesdays or Race Days.
Critical Eligibility
- Weight Limit: Rider weight must strictly be under 60 kgs.
- Attire: Rider must wear breeches or jeans and boots with a small heel (No sneakers).

What Happens on a Race Day
- The minute you walk in, you’ll hear the crowd, feel the ground shake as horses thunder past, and maybe spot folks cheering for their lucky favourites.
- Our calendar is packed, with the Bangalore Derby day events, Governor’s Trophy, and lots more. Top jockeys, famous horses, and a crowd that's here for the thrill.
- Some days are posh - we run ‘Best Dressed’ contests and, yeah, you’ll see a few lounge suits and fancy sarees. But there’s always a spot for everyone.

- Placing a bet here is easy - either at the track or at Off-Course Betting Centers. It’s a different rush when your pick is leading.
- Families, first-timers, and racing pros all find their groove. Kids, foodies, and even those just here for the photos love it.
- Lucky draws happen daily. Like we say, Dainandina lucky draw spardheyalli bhagavahisi! (Join the daily lucky draw!) Sometimes, you might even take home a bike or a car.

My Story
We’re Bangalore Turf Club - some call us a landmark, others just say ‘the races’. Our turf’s seen everything - wild finishes, fashion parades, and families cheering in their Sunday best. We’re not only about the Sport of Kings, though. We’re part of the city, from hosting kids from Sri Acharya Rakum School for the Blind to keeping the legacy alive with our charitable trust. Racing, yes, but also caring. That’s us.
