African Safari Birds

My expeditions in Africa offer a chance to see some of the world's most iconic birds. From the elegant Grey Crowned Cranes of the grasslands to the Oxpeckers that live with large mammals, we explore the unique ecosystems of places like the Masai Mara and Amboseli.

Himalayan High-Altitude Birds

The Himalayas are a world of their own, home to specialized species adapted to high altitudes. On our treks through regions like Sikkim and Uttarakhand, we search for elusive birds like the Himalayan Monal, vibrant Redstarts, and various Laughingthrushes against stunning mountain backdrops.

Gems of the Western Ghats

The Western Ghats are a UNESCO World Heritage site, and for good reason. I guide tours here to find species that exist nowhere else on Earth. We explore shola forests and grasslands for endemic birds like the Nilgiri Flycatcher and Grey-headed Bulbul.

Birds of Prey

Witnessing raptors in action is a highlight of any birding trip. From the powerful eagles soaring over grasslands to the swift Shikra hunting in the forest, I'll help you spot and photograph these magnificent hunters. This collection includes eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls from various expeditions.

A Kaleidoscope of Kingfishers

India is home to 12 species of Kingfishers, and I've been fortunate to photograph nine of them so far. These vibrant birds are a challenge and a delight to capture, from the tiny Oriental Dwarf to the large Crested Kingfisher. This collection showcases their stunning diversity.

Waders & Waterbirds

From the vast salt marshes of Kutch to the wetlands of Bengal, my tours cover diverse aquatic habitats. This cluster features the elegant waders and waterbirds we encounter, including flamingos, ibises, cranes, and the rare Indian Skimmer, showcasing the richness of India's wetlands.

Hornbills and their Habits

Hornbills are among the most charismatic birds, often called the "farmers of the forest" for their role in seed dispersal. My tours offer opportunities to see several species, from the magnificent Great Hornbill in the Himalayas to the Malabar Pied Hornbills of Sri Lanka, and to observe their unique behaviors.

Flycatchers, Robins & Forest Jewels

This collection celebrates the smaller, often brilliantly colored birds that inhabit the forests and grasslands. Finding these jewels, like the vibrant Paradise Flycatchers, tiny Sunbirds, and elusive Robins, requires a keen eye and patience, which are skills I help my clients develop.

Behavior & Action

My tours focus on understanding and capturing the stories of the avian world. This collection highlights the drama of bird life: the hunt for food, the dynamics of flight, courtship rituals, and fascinating interactions between different species. These are the moments that turn a photograph into a story.

Portraits & Close-ups

This gallery focuses on the fine details that make each bird unique. Through hide-based photography and patient waiting, we can achieve intimate portraits that reveal the intricate patterns, colors, and textures of their plumage, offering a personal connection with these beautiful creatures.
