About Community Event & Pandal Decoration
Setting up a large-scale pandal involves more than just draping; it starts with securing the bamboo or metal pipe structure and getting the lighting load balanced before the ground gets busy. When we plan these 400-500 sq ft setups, we make sure the cabling is tucked away for safety and the floor carpeting is laid flat so it does not bunch up under heavy foot traffic.
When we take on a community project, the priority is always structural stability and safety, especially for events running over several days. We work with bamboo or metal pipe structures that provide a solid frame, which is crucial for managing the weight of ceiling drapes and lighting rigs.
Managing the Layout
For a typical 400-500 sq ft space, the workflow starts with laying down the flooring—red or green carpet is standard—before moving to vertical support poles. We use strip-style draping in vibrant, multi-colored fabrics to bring the space to life.
Lighting and Electricity
A large pandal needs consistent light. We use a mix of halogen or LED floodlights for general coverage and serial lights wrapped around the poles for the festival aesthetic. We ensure the wiring is managed effectively to handle the load throughout the event duration.
Site Planning
We have been doing this across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area since 2003. Whether it is a neighborhood festival or a public gathering, we need clear access for our installation team to move equipment and set up the entrance gates.
What to Consider
If your venue has specific height restrictions or is in a busy street-level location, let us know early. We can adjust the box-arch gate size or the masking height to ensure the setup complies with local space availability.
