Featured Wildlife Photography and Field Workshops
A collection of my most raw and honest moments in the wild, from the tiger reserves of central India to the high-altitude deserts of Spiti.
This is the shot I waited years for. A misty winter morning at Ranthambore National Park, with the ancient architecture floating on the lake and a tiger walking the bank. This award-winning wildscape captures the magic I want you to experience on my photography tours.
There's nothing like the feeling of a tiger walking straight towards you. This head-on shot captures the intense gaze and powerful presence of a Bengal tiger. On my workshops, I teach you how to get these impactful, low-angle portraits safely and ethically.
This is what my Spiti expedition is all about: tracking the ghost of the mountains. Spotting this snow leopard against the harsh, frozen landscape after days of searching in -20°C weather is a feeling you never forget. This is a trip for the truly dedicated adventurer.
Wildlife photography is not just about grand action, it's about capturing intimate moments. Here, a tigress grooms her cub in Ranthambore, a display of tenderness that tells a deeper story. We take the time to observe these behaviors, leading to more meaningful photographs.
The ultimate prize in Kabini, Saaya, the elusive black panther. Sighting this magnificent creature is a matter of pure luck and patience. My tours in the southern jungles are designed to maximize our chances of witnessing such rare and beautiful animals.
A tusker elephant emerges from the mist in Jim Corbett National Park. My tours cover diverse habitats, and I guide you in capturing not just big cats, but the full majesty of India's wildlife, teaching techniques for atmospheric shots like this.
A silhouette of tigress Riddhi and her cubs at dawn in Ranthambore. I love teaching how to create such artistic, poetic images by playing with light and shadow. It’s about seeing the jungle not just as it is, but as a canvas for visual storytelling.
This is a glimpse into a day on safari with me. From setting up the shot with a 400mm lens on the jeep to the breathtaking moment a tiger appears, my workshops are a hands-on experience in the heart of the action.
About Featured
The images you see here are the result of knowing when to wait and when to act. In my workshops, I don't just take you to the sighting; I teach you to read the jungle. Whether we are tracking a tigress in the dry heat of Ranthambore or waiting hours for a snow leopard in the sub-zero wind of Spiti, my focus is on teaching you the fieldcraft to anticipate the moment rather than just reacting to it.
This cluster is more than a portfolio; it is a look into my years of tracking India's apex predators. Photography in the wild is often messy, tiring, and unpredictable. It is not about expensive gear, but about understanding the animal's path and respecting the environment.
What I Teach in the Field
When you join my workshops, we strip away the technical noise. We focus on:
- Manual Exposure & Histogram: Understanding light when the forest canopy changes every minute.
- Ethical Tracking: Learning to predict predator movement based on alarm calls and pugmarks, rather than just chasing tourist crowds.
- Animal Behavior: Recognizing the signs of a hunt, a territorial dispute, or a mother grooming her cubs so you are ready with the shutter.
The Locations We Explore
I limit my groups to 4 photographers per vehicle, which is non-negotiable. This ensures you have the space to move your lens and the time to ask questions without rushing the animal. We spend time in:
- Ranthambore & Corbett: For those iconic tiger portraits and landscape shots.
- Kabini: A different pace, where we hunt for the elusive black panther.
- Spiti: A serious test of endurance for those who want to photograph the snow leopard in winter.
If you want to learn how to capture the story behind the animal, not just a postcard photo, come join me on a safari. The jungle gives you what it wants, when it wants. We just have to be ready.
