Cinematic and Video Makeup for High-Fashion Shoots
Makeup that performs as well as you do. I design looks specifically for video, focusing on textures that hold up under studio lights and camera movement.
This conceptual video tells a story of heartbreak. I created a dramatic evening look with a smokey eye and nude lip that transitions well from light to shadow, holding up through emotional expressions for a cinematic effect.
A suspenseful concept video that relies on dramatic lighting. The makeup features a bold red lip and defined eyes that remain striking even in low-light, candle-lit scenes, showcasing my skill in creating makeup for specific cinematic moods.
A whimsical video with a masquerade theme. I designed a romantic makeup look with a soft pink corset top, focusing on luminous skin and defined eyes that are visible even when partially covered by a mask.
This video lookbook for a fashion brand showcases multiple outfits with corresponding makeup looks. I adapted the makeup to suit each dress, from a soft, natural style to a bolder lip, demonstrating versatility for video shoots.
A behind-the-scenes style video featuring a floral ethnic dress. The makeup includes a playful pop of color on the eyes with a purple winged liner, adding a fun and modern twist to the traditional outfit.
This short video captures the magical atmosphere of the Christmas shoot. The makeup, featuring shimmering eyeshadow and a classic red lip, was created to sparkle under studio lights and look vibrant on camera.
About Cinematic & Video Projects
Video makeup is fundamentally different from standard occasion makeup. While a party look relies on how it appears to the naked eye, cinematic makeup has to hold up under high-intensity studio lights, rapid camera movement, and hours of retakes. I focus on skin textures that do not cake under bright lighting and color-matching that stays consistent from the first take to the last, so you look polished throughout the entire shoot.
When you are on camera, every detail matters. I bring the technical precision I learned from artists like Ilaha Hajiyeva and Makeup by Mario to every video project.
Why cinematic makeup is different
- Light-adaptive textures: Studio lights can wash out features or highlight flaws. I use high-performance products that catch the light correctly, ensuring your features stay defined without looking heavy.
- Movement-proof finishing: Whether it is a fast-paced fashion film or a slow-motion dramatic piece, the makeup needs to stay in place. I use specific setting techniques to ensure longevity, even through long days on set.
- Collaborative styling: I treat the makeup as part of the visual narrative. In my work on heartbreak concept videos or suspenseful short films, I tailor the look to match the mood of the scene. For instance, I might use a specific smokey eye to create depth in shadow-heavy shots, or a precise red lip that remains vivid under low, candle-lit setups.
I work closely with your creative team, photographers, and lighting directors to ensure the makeup complements the wardrobe and the overarching story of your film. If you have a specific vision for a brand campaign or an editorial lookbook, let's connect to make it camera-ready.
