Integrated Bedroom and Wardrobe Solutions
I design bedrooms where the wardrobe functions as an architectural feature rather than just storage. From island layouts to glass-partitioned dressing zones, I create unified, open-plan spaces tailored to your needs.
The QUATTRO bedroom is a showcase of integrated design. The walk-in wardrobe, visible through a glass partition, is not an afterthought but a core component of the room's luxurious and functional layout.
This is my ISOLA bedroom concept, where the bed is placed as a central island. The wardrobe is positioned behind it, acting as a headboard and a functional partition that defines the sleeping and dressing zones.
To create a more spacious feel, I merged this bedroom with its dressing area. A see-through island wardrobe made entirely of glass stands as a partition, allowing for an unobstructed view and adding a touch of glamour.
This island wardrobe is stripped down to its essential elements: aluminium profiles, brown-tinted glass, and succupira veneer. The shelves inside are glass and feature concealed lighting to beautifully showcase the contents.
About Integrated Bedroom & Wardrobe Solutions
When you plan a wardrobe as a bedroom centerpiece, the biggest challenge is avoiding visual clutter. I rely on slim aluminum profiles and tinted glass, which create a physical barrier without hiding the space behind it. You get a museum-like display for your clothing, but the room retains an open, unified feel. It is a specific layout choice, so ensure you have enough clearance for the sliding door tracks before finalizing your floor plan.
Rethinking the Bedroom Layout
Most traditional layouts push the wardrobe against a wall, often making the room feel smaller or segmented. My approach flips this dynamic. By utilizing glass-fronted storage and central island units, we allow light to travel through the space. Whether it is our Isola concept, which positions the bed as a central island with the closet acting as a functional backdrop, or the Quattro style that uses glass partitions to merge the dressing zone with the sleeping area, the goal is always to create a cohesive environment.
Materiality and Engineering
These pieces rely on specific technical choices that define the final result:
- Tinted Glass & Veneer: I often combine brown-tinted glass with rich woods like Succupira to add warmth. This ensures the unit feels like a high-end furniture piece rather than a basic cabinet.
- Silent Mechanics: We use heavy-duty, top-hung sliding tracks. This eliminates floor channels, which means your flooring runs uninterrupted from the bedroom into the dressing area, enhancing the sense of space.
- Integrated Lighting: Shelves often house concealed LED profile lighting. This serves a practical purpose—helping you see your clothes—but also adds a subtle ambient glow to the room at night.
Practical Considerations
Because these units are manufactured in our factory with 7-layer PU coating, the finish is extremely durable and moisture-resistant. This is distinct from on-site carpentry, where finishes often chip over time. If you are considering an integrated walk-in solution, we should discuss your floor space early on. These designs require precision, and we often work with laser-measured site data to ensure the aluminum profiles and glass panels fit perfectly within your room's dimensions.
