Behind the Moves: My Dance Journey in Bangalore
Dance is my world, but it is not always polished perfection. These shots capture the real, messy, and rewarding moments that happen when I am in my element.
A photo capturing a feeling of being unfettered and sky-high. The movement in my dupatta reflects the freedom I feel when I dance.
Another shot from a beautiful outdoor photoshoot. The wind, the sky, and the movement all coming together in one perfect moment.
Feeling free and expressive in this vibrant lehenga. This photo captures the joy and energy that dance brings into my life.
My mantra is to aspire to inspire. This is a shot of me in work mode, always thinking about how I can grow as a choreographer and dancer.
A candid moment of reflection. For me, having a growth mindset is key to everything I do, both in and out of the studio.
In my element, caught mid-dance. This is a candid shot that perfectly captures the pure joy and energy I feel when I'm lost in the music.
Another happy candid from a beautiful evening event. You can almost hear the music just by looking at the smile on my face.
About this collection
It is easy to watch a finished video and assume the choreography came together instantly. In reality, my process involves a lot of freezing up, re-learning steps, and pushing through self-doubt. When you join my sessions, you are not just learning counts and moves; you are stepping into a space where being messy is a part of the growth process, whether we are preparing for a wedding or just exploring Bollywood beats.
I started dancing because it felt like the only place I could truly be myself. Since moving to Bangalore, my approach has evolved from just learning steps to building a community.
Why My Classes Are Different
- No Judgment Zone: Whether you think you have two left feet or you are looking to refine your technique, my studio is a safe space. We learn at your pace, focusing on the joy of movement rather than strict perfection.
- Styles I Love: While my roots are in Folk Fusion, I love the energy of Bollywood, the fluidity of belly dance, and the intensity of dance fitness. We mix these up to keep classes fresh and exciting.
How We Work Together
I offer a few ways to train:
- Private Lessons: If you need personalized coaching for a specific event like a Sangeet or want to master a specific track, we can work one-on-one at a studio or your home.
- Group Classes: If you love the energy of a crowd, join one of my regular batches in partner studios like Tangerine Arts or Vins Dance Co. It is the best way to build confidence and meet people who are on the same journey.
- Semi-Private Batches: Get a group of five friends together, and we can set up a batch that works for your schedule.
Everything I teach is built on the belief that if you can show up, you can dance. The 'Behind the Moves' moments you see in my gallery are the reminders that even the choreographer gets nervous and has off days. I invite you to bring your nerves and your excitement to class—let's make something beautiful together.
