How PRP and GFC Work
When you visit my clinic for hair loss, we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) are both designed to tap into your body's natural healing power, but they serve different needs.
In PRP therapy, we draw your blood and use a double-spin centrifuge process to isolate the plasma. We then inject this directly into the scalp to wake up weak hair follicles. It is a tried-and-tested method that I have used for years to control hair fall.
GFC is the next step up. We use specialized, pre-activated tubes to extract a higher concentration of growth factors. Because it is acellular—meaning we remove the red and white blood cells—it often involves less inflammation and can be more comfortable for the patient.
