What began as therapy for my health became the foundation for A Handcrafted Gaatha. This is the story of how I built my brand from a living room project to a nationwide hustle!

My life changed when I picked up a hook and learned to crochet from scratch. It was my therapy during a dark phase with PCOD, and I'm so grateful for how it redirected my life. I haven't stopped since.

This is my butterfly effect. If it wasn't for my PCOD diagnosis and leaving my job, I never would have challenged myself to learn crochet. Now I'm living my dream life running this business.

A year ago, I officially launched A Handcrafted Gaatha after PCOD changed my life. I'm truly grateful for everything that has unfolded and the journey this craft has taken me on.

Someone once mockingly called my business a "daddi amma wali hobby." Now, this hobby helps me provide an income for other women and sustain myself. I'm proud to be a 'daddi amma' because old is gold.

POV: You built a successful business from a "daddi amma wali hobby." From market stalls to photoshoots, this is what turning a passion into a profession looks like.

Balancing personal life and work as a small business owner can be tough. After a break, I'm coming back stronger by taking small, steady steps to get back on track.

I'm working late because I'm not just a crocheter. I'm also the photographer, the packer, and the planner. This is the reality of running a small, one-person business.

A behind-the-scenes look at my process. From planning in my notebook to assembling dozens of sunflower earrings, there's a special peace in working on my own craft.

About My Journey: From Hobby to Hustle

People often dismiss crochet as just a daddi amma wali hobby, but I found my purpose in these stitches. When I started during a difficult health phase, I never imagined it would grow into a business that supports other women and ships across the country. It is more than just yarn; it is a full-time commitment to quality and craft.
