About Leadership in the Legal Community
Running for the Delhi Bar Association isn't just about a title. It's about representing the voices of advocates who, like me, are navigating the daily grind and challenges of early practice in our courts. When I hit the campaign trail at Tis Hazari, my focus was simple: connecting with seniors for guidance and listening to the real concerns of my peers, because no lawyer should have to navigate the systemic hurdles alone.
The heart of my campaign was built on one principle: Vakil Ekta (Advocate Unity). For me, being an advocate in Delhi’s busy courts—especially at Tis Hazari—isn't just about individual cases. It is about the environment we work in, the struggles we face with policy changes, and the need for leadership that actually shows up.
My campaign for the Member Executive position was grounded in being available on the ground. I spent my days walking the court premises, meeting colleagues, seeking blessings from my seniors, and engaging in direct conversation. Whether it was discussing the Advocate Amendment Bill or standing against policies that threaten the dignity of our profession, I believe our strength lies in solidarity.
This journey was a collective effort. From the supporters who walked with me to the colleagues who shared their wisdom, every interaction reinforced why I entered this field. I don’t believe in empty promises. I believe in showing up, being visible, and fighting for the rights of fellow advocates. When I talk about unity, it’s not just a slogan—it’s the reality of how we survive and succeed in this demanding profession. My ballot number 19 wasn’t just a digit; it was a symbol of our shared goal to bring positive, ground-level change to the Delhi Bar Association.
