My First-Generation Journey in Law
No family background, no shortcuts—just the grind of building a legal career from scratch. This is my path from NIMS School of Law to the courtroom.

A candid moment during my LLM convocation. The journey through law school is filled with challenges, but moments like these make it all worthwhile.
A happy smile on my convocation day. This is the result of dedication and a clear focus on the goal, principles I teach in my mentorship sessions for aspiring lawyers.
About My First-Generation Journey
When I started, I did not have a senior to guide me or a law firm connection to open doors. I learned the hard way, from understanding court etiquette to mastering cold emails, that being a first-gen lawyer is about resourcefulness. In my mentorship sessions, we do not just talk theory. I share the exact templates and strategies that helped me navigate my early years.
My journey was not handed to me. It was built through late nights, self-study, and the grit required to make it as a first-generation criminal lawyer in North India. I understand the specific anxiety of a law student who lacks family connections or industry insiders. You worry about where to intern, how to talk to seniors, and how to survive the initial years of low pay and long hours.
My mentorship is not about textbook learning. It is about the reality of the profession. Whether you are preparing for CLAT, AIBE, or the Judiciary exams, or trying to bridge the gap between graduation and your first court appearance, I provide actionable roadmaps.
In our sessions, we cover:
- Networking: How to cold email partners and build relationships without awkwardness.
- Courtroom Readiness: Practical tips on conduct and strategy that you will not find in law books.
- Career Planning: Building a 1-year and 3-year plan that balances financial goals with long-term ambition.
I am in your corner to help you cross-examine your doubts and build your own legacy. Let us get to work.
