Bringing the energy of Indian street food to life. I focus on capturing the dynamic textures, vibrant colors, and spicy appeal of chaat, samosas, and appetizers for menus and social media.

About Street Food & Savory Snacks

Street food photography requires a delicate balance between showcasing the ingredients and maintaining the messy, appetizing appeal of the dish. For every shoot, I handle the styling myself, ensuring the chutneys are placed perfectly, the crispiness of a samosa is visible, and the overall composition makes your customers hungry the moment they see the image.

Styling for Appetite

Indian street food is naturally messy, which is what makes it so appealing. My job is to control that mess. Whether it is a deconstructed Pani Puri platter or a loaded Raj Kachori, I use specific props like brass bowls, rustic wood, and hand-painted canvases to ground the food in a real-world setting. I pay attention to the small details, like fresh pomegranate seeds or a precise garnish of cilantro, to elevate the visual without losing the authentic street-side vibe.

Digital Menus vs. Social Media

Not every image needs the same treatment.

  • For Aggregator Apps (Swiggy/Zomato): We need high-key, bright, and consistent images. The focus is on clarity and speed, ensuring the dish is recognizable even on a small phone screen. I shoot these with standardized backgrounds to keep your menu looking uniform.
  • For Social Media: This is where we get creative. I use moody lighting, lifestyle elements like a hand reaching for a snack, and action shots—such as pours, steam, or mixing—to stop the scroll.

My Production Process

I work as both your photographer and food stylist. This dual role allows for a seamless workflow. When we are on set, I am not just hitting a shutter button—I am constantly tweaking the light and rearranging ingredients between shots.

  • Equipment: I use full-frame mirrorless cameras with macro lenses to capture those fine textures, from the crunch of a pakora to the smooth texture of dahi.
  • Collaborative Approach: I have shot for established brands like Gulab Sweets and boutique cafes. Whether you are a large chain needing 20+ images or a new cafe needing a signature menu refresh, I bring the same focus to the set.

I'm Abhishek, and I am pretty particular about props and lighting. I handle the entire shoot from start to finish, styling included, so you get images that actually sell your menu. If your food needs a story, I am ready to capture it.
