I use backcombing and specific structural anchors to support your heavy bridal jewellery and double dupatta. This foundation ensures the bun remains secure, polished, and free of sagging, regardless of the humidity or the length of your wedding rituals.
Bridal updos require more than just styling products. For the looks showcased here, I focus on building a robust structural base. This involves targeted crimping and strategic backcombing to provide the necessary friction for securing heavy jewellery like Mathapattis, Passas, or Jhoomars. When you have a heavy dupatta draped over your head, the weight creates significant tension. I use high-density padding and structural anchors so the weight is distributed evenly, keeping the style comfortable without collapsing.
My kit includes professional humidity-resistant sprays from brands like Osis+ and L'Oreal, which are essential for holding styles in Mumbai's climate or during outdoor destination weddings. Floral arrangement is also part of the technical execution. Whether you choose a classic bun with fresh roses, baby's breath, or hydrangeas, I ensure the stems are secured directly into the netting or mesh. This prevents shifting or falling petals even after hours of movement or photoshoots. My goal is a hairstyle that looks as neat at the end of your reception as it did when I finished the prep.
