About High-Stakes Criminal Defense
What Drives Me
I see criminal defense as more than just arguing in court. For me, it’s about standing up for people when the system feels stacked against them. My guiding rule is simple: bail should be the norm, jail the rare exception. That’s how I try to protect personal liberty, even when the stakes are sky-high.
Experience in Tough Cases
I mostly work on cases where the consequences are serious and the legal issues are complicated. I’ve led defenses in tough white-collar matters, especially those under the PMLA. For instance, the marathon 'Coal Matter' trial taught me a lot about how money laundering defense strategies can actually change the outcome. I stay updated because the law in this area keeps shifting, sometimes overnight.
In anti-corruption and bribery cases, I don’t just look for loopholes. I focus on what the law really requires from the prosecution - like proving both demand and voluntary acceptance, not just showing recovered cash. Securing bail in these cases has become tougher, and I’m honest about that with clients.
How I Work
I started in the district courts, moved up to the Supreme Court, and that journey lets me see how cases really move through the system. I lead arguments and set the strategy, but this is never a solo gig. I work closely with my team, and my briefing counsels feel more like family than colleagues. That’s how we prep for complex criminal case representation.
Where I Practice
My chambers are in Delhi, but I argue cases across India - from Supreme Court to High Courts in Ranchi, Bangalore, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, and more. No matter where the case is, I bring the same approach.

My Story
Started out in law thanks to my guru, Shri KTS Tulsi ji, who taught me grit and compassion both. Thirty years in, I still chase new challenges—cycling to India Gate at sunrise, pottery, even snowmobiling in the Arctic. My wife’s been my anchor for 31 years, and we’ve wandered from Cinque Terre to Finland, always coming back to family, festivals, and simple joys. That’s what keeps me grounded.
My Work
Criminal Law & White-Collar Crime - I focus on criminal law litigation in Supreme Court and High Courts—especially white-collar crime defense and PMLA cases.
Advocacy for Civil Liberties - I stand for bail as rule, jail as exception. Always push for integrity and dignity in our courts.
Legal Community & Mentorship - Chamber feels like family. I mentor juniors, support women lawyers, and join sports events for camaraderie.
