When I step up for a Retro Rewind set, the goal is to bridge the gap between the older family members and the younger crowd. I do not just loop a track. I structure the set to build up—starting with a few sing-alongs, moving into high-tempo retro remixes, and occasionally dipping into Bolly-Tech to keep the younger guests interested. This style works best for sangeets, anniversary parties, or sundowners where the guest list spans all ages.
If you are worried about the technical side, I use industry-standard Pioneer gear to ensure the sound stays crisp, whether the venue is a high-end club in Mumbai or a private lawn. I also bring my own MC energy, so I am not just hidden behind the console—I am out there, hyping up the crowd, and taking requests.
