My mat is where I find my truth. These snapshots from my personal practice—from the quiet of the hills to my morning flows—are the source of everything we bring to our retreats.

If it involves nature and adventure, count me in. Finding my balance with Padangusthasana in the branches of an ancient tree, connecting with its strength and grounding energy.

My practice isn't about perfectly holding an asana for an hour; it’s about mobilizing the body to release the tightness of city life. Whether I’m at Tanpura Farms or on my home mat, I focus on the balance between dynamic solar flows and restorative lunar stillness—the same Hatha methodology I bring into every class and retreat we host.

Finding My Flow

My mat is my anchor. In a life that often demands we be 'on' all the time, my daily Hatha practice is the sacred space where I can finally switch off. Whether I am deep in the mountains of Rishikesh or in a quiet corner of our Mumbai studio, the goal is always the same: to find the connection between breath and movement.

The Hatha Philosophy

For me, Hatha yoga—the union of 'ha' (sun) and 'ta' (moon)—is about more than just flexibility. It is about understanding the dualities within us. My personal flows often shift between:

  • Solar Practice: Dynamic, heat-building sequences that help me wake up and mobilize after long hours of sitting or travel.
  • Lunar Practice: Restorative sessions focusing on Yoga Nidra and deep stretches, essential for nervous system regulation and stress relief.
