About Indian Traditional Ceremonies
When I make a cake for a ceremony like an Annaprashan or Upanayanam, it is not just about the flavor. It is about the accuracy of the cultural symbols. I handcraft every single element—the miniature plates, the homa kunda, the traditional attire on the figurines—so they actually represent the rituals you are celebrating. You are not just getting a cake; you are getting a piece of edible art that respects your family traditions.
I understand that for ceremonies like an Upanayanam (thread ceremony), Annaprashan (first rice-eating), or Half Saree functions, the details matter immensely. You want the cake to look like it belongs at the event, which is why I take the time to sculpt specific items like banana leaves, traditional sarees, or sacred items from fondant.
My process is simple: you tell me the significance of the ceremony, and I design the cake to match. Whether it is a twin's Mundan ceremony or a grand Nikkah, I focus on the little things—the folds in a lehenga, the colors of the traditional attire, or even the layout of the food offerings.
I bake from my kitchen in Whitefield and personally oversee the delivery of these delicate creations. Because these cakes require intricate hand-sculpting of figurines and detailed piping, I recommend reaching out at least a week in advance. Let's chat about your specific ceremony requirements and I will make sure your cake is one you will be proud to display.
