About Royal Palace Weddings
Shooting in a palace creates a specific challenge: the scale is immense, but the emotion is personal. I use a combination of wide-angle drone shots to capture the architectural grandeur of heritage venues in cities like Jaipur and Udaipur, and longer, fixed lenses to isolate the quiet, private glances between you and your partner. This ensures that the venue tells the story of the place, while your connection remains the primary focus of the image.
My Approach to Heritage Venues
Palaces carry a heavy, historic weight, and the photography needs to respect that. I don't just point a camera at the architecture. I treat the venue as a character in your story. Whether it is a fortress in Ranthambore or a garden palace in Rajasthan, I scout the light and the angles early, looking for where the architecture frames the couple naturally, rather than forcing poses against a backdrop.
Crew and Technical Capability
For destination palace weddings, I typically deploy a crew of 7 to 10 professionals.
- Cinematography: We use multi-camera setups with gimbals for stable, cinematic movement through large palace corridors.
- Aerial Work: I include drone operation for establishing shots that show the scale of your venue, assuming the local authorities permit it.
- Audio: For the wedding film, we use professional lapel microphones on the couple and the priest to capture the actual vows and mantras, not just background noise.
- Lighting: Palaces can be dark with high ceilings. I bring an off-camera flash setup to ensure the reception and dance floor shots remain crisp without flooding the room with flat light.
The Logistics of Destination Coverage
I treat your wedding as a cohesive narrative. From the Haldi to the Reception, we ensure the colour palette and the editing style remain consistent. If we are shooting in Mussoorie or Udaipur, the travel and accommodation for my team are handled by you, but the planning is mine. We coordinate with your wedding planner to ensure we are at the right place at the right time, so you never have to look for the camera.

I'm Kunal Sahni. I look for the moments that feel true, whether that is a quiet pause in a grand courtyard or a sudden, unscripted laugh during your ceremony. I prefer to stay out of the way, letting your day unfold naturally rather than dictating every movement.
