Couple Portraits: Relaxed & Real Moments
Your portraits shouldn't feel like work. I focus on those quiet, unguarded moments when you forget I'm even there—just you two, laughing, whispering, and being yourselves. 😊
The moment right after the Varmala, with rose petals still in the air. Disha and Prateek are just beaming. This is what it's all about, capturing that pure, post ceremony glow.
We took these engagement photos for Sanika and Amol right in their society's backyard. It proves you don't need a fancy location to get amazing shots, just a couple with beaming smiles like these.
Look at the pure joy on their faces. Nikita and Dnyanratna were a bit shy at first, but soon it was all giggles and goofiness. We captured these lovely, natural moments in the green surroundings of their intimate wedding venue.
This is what happens when I just let a couple be. Sanjana and Mihir burst into laughter during their early morning portrait session. It’s these unscripted, happy moments that I love capturing the most.
An early morning walk on a quiet, tree lined street on their wedding day. Tanvi and Aman shared a few laughs, and I was there to capture their easy chemistry. Sometimes the simplest settings make for the most beautiful couple portraits.
A quiet moment between Kinjal and Siddharth at the beautiful Dhepe Wada. This black and white portrait captures their gentle connection and the timeless feel of their heritage wedding venue.
Prerna and Abhiroop, right after their beautiful Marathi and Bengali fusion wedding. We found a quiet spot by the pool at the Hyatt, and their happiness just radiated.
The story behind the funny photo. Here, Sanika and Shubhankar are just looking at each other and laughing at the absurdity of the situation. It’s a perfect memory from their wedding morning.
And here is the one "formal" shot we managed to get from the funny series with Sanika and Shubhankar. Even with the groom in a hoodie, their connection shines through.
A classic, romantic black and white portrait from Sanika and Amol's backyard engagement shoot. The soft light and their embrace make this a timeless shot.
About Couple Portraits: Relaxed & Real
I actually prefer shooting your portraits in the morning light or right after the crowd thins out. When you are not rushing between rituals, that is when the real smiles happen—like the time I shot a couple right in their society's backyard instead of a studio. If you are okay with ditching the heavy posing in favor of just hanging out while I document it, we will get along just fine.
Real Connection Over Posed Perfection
You will not find me asking you to 'look left and smile' on command. Honestly, I do not think that makes for a good photo. My favorite portraits come from moments when you are genuinely comfortable—like that quiet walk down a tree-lined street or sharing a laugh in your own living room.
How We Make It Happen
I treat portrait sessions more like a hang-out. If we can squeeze in an early morning slot or find a quiet corner at your venue, that is where the magic is. Whether it is at a heritage site like Dhepe Wada or just your backyard, the goal is to capture the easy chemistry you two share. I might give you a nudge—like 'go stand over there'—but the rest is up to you.
Why No Studio?
Because your story isn't a studio set. It is in the way you look at each other, the way you laugh at your own awkwardness, and the comfort you share. We don't need fancy props or rigid lighting to make a portrait 'worthy.' We just need you two, some decent light, and the freedom to be yourself.
What to Expect
- No Stress: If the crowd is crazy, we wait. We don't force it.
- Natural Light: I prefer shooting outdoors or near big windows. It’s softer and way more flattering.
- Fast Turnaround: I edit these personally and get them to you quick, so you don't have to wait months to share your favorites.
