This is how dermal remodeling works to reduce acne scars. The treatment breaks down disorganized scar tissue and stimulates neocollagenesis, or the formation of new collagen. This leads to smoother skin and a visible reduction in pitted, atrophic scars.
Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries. We use sterile, ultra-fine needles to create microscopic channels in the skin, which activates fibroblasts, the cells responsible for skin repair and collagen production.
