Hand-Painted Warli Murals for Bengaluru Homes

I bring traditional Warli art to life on your walls. Every mural is hand-painted, raw, and designed to tell a story that fits your specific space.

This wide-angle shot shows the full scale of a Warli mural I painted under a staircase. The composition fills the entire angled wall, depicting a lively village scene with palm trees, animals, and people engaged in various activities.

Another perspective of the under-staircase mural, highlighting the clean lines and the way the artwork integrates with the architecture of the home. This is a great example of modern ethnic wall decor.

My Tree of Life mural on a compound wall, seen in the daylight. The sunlight reveals the texture of the wall and the clean, white pigment of the Warli painting, which includes a bullock cart scene below the central motif.

A closer view of the Tree of Life mural. This angle shows the detail in the tree's roots and branches, as well as the ring of dancing figures that encircle it, a classic element of Warli tribal art.

The same Tree of Life mural illuminated at night. The artificial light creates a dramatic effect, making the white figures stand out against the dark red wall and turning the art into a striking feature after sunset.

About this collection

Every line you see on my murals is hand-drawn, not stencilled. This means every village scene or Tree of Life motif adapts slightly to the curves and texture of your specific wall, making the art truly part of your home’s architecture rather than just a print applied on top.

My Approach to Warli Murals

When I work on a wall, I am not just filling space. I am looking for the balance between the negative space and the white pigment. I use chalk to sketch the layout first, then go in with acrylics or exterior emulsion depending on if the wall is inside or out.

The Process

  • Consultation: We start by talking about the wall size and the story you want to see. Do you want the lively chaos of a Tarpa dance or the calm of a Tree of Life?
  • Execution: I paint entirely by hand. This includes the fine geometric borders and the individual brush strokes that make up the figures. If it is an exterior wall, I use weather-proof paints to ensure it handles the Bengaluru sun and rain.
  • Protection: For high-traffic areas, I apply a clear matte varnish. This helps the art last for years without fading.

Common Questions

  • How long does it take? On average, I complete 30 to 50 square feet per day. Larger, more complex motifs like a full-wall Mandala take longer due to the density of the work.
  • Can you paint on textured walls? Yes, but the texture changes how the lines appear. If your wall is rough, the Warli style actually looks quite rustic and natural.
  • Do I need to prepare the wall? Basic dusting is fine. If there are major cracks or dampness, those need to be fixed before I start painting to ensure the art stays on the wall for the long haul.

Every project is different, just like every wall in Bengaluru is different. Let's figure out what fits yours.

I'm Sharan. Art is my heart, and I believe a blank wall is just a story waiting to be told. When I paint a mural, I am not just decorating, I am making sure the final piece feels like it genuinely belongs to your home.
