Beyond capturing the chaos, I look for the art in your connection. This collection explores the beauty of shadow, light, and silence, creating portraits that feel like a quiet moment suspended in time.

A bride bathed in a sliver of sunlight, the shadows creating a dramatic and captivating portrait. Her gaze is direct, her presence powerful.

An engagement etched in sunlight and shimmering gold. The setting sun creates a stunning flare, enveloping the couple in a magical, golden glow as they exchange rings.

A serene and ethereal portrait. We used a simple white backdrop and a single banana leaf to create a minimal, artistic setting that highlights the couple's gentle connection.

A bride caught in a moment of quiet reflection by a window. This black and white portrait uses natural light and shadow to create a timeless, soulful image.

A dramatic, artistic portrait of the bride, with half of her face in shadow, creating a mysterious and captivating look for her cocktail night.

A soft, dreamy close-up of the bride smiling, seen through her delicate veil. A beautiful and ethereal bridal portrait.

A wide shot of our minimal outdoor studio setup, with the couple framed by a white backdrop and a large banana leaf, showing how we create art amidst nature.

A creative split-screen portrait, showing the bride and groom separately but connected, a quiet moment amidst the whirlwind of their special day.

A beautiful mood board collage from a wedding, showcasing the soft pink color palette, the couple's portraits, and the delicate details of their day.

A couple stands before a simple white backdrop set up outdoors, a minimalist approach that puts all the focus on their connection and beautiful attire.

About Artistic Portraits & The Play of Light

These portraits aren't created in a sterile studio. We often find a simple white wall at your venue, add a bit of natural light or a single prop, and create a space where you can stop performing for the camera. It is about stripping away the wedding noise so we can see the person standing in front of us, not just the outfit they are wearing.

There is a specific kind of magic that happens when you take a couple away from the noise of a crowded hall. My approach to these portraits is minimalist in its execution but deeply romantic in its intent. I look for the way light falls across a face, or how a shadow can hide the distractions and highlight the emotion in an eye.

You will see images here captured with simple backdrops—sometimes just a white cloth against a hotel wall or a leaf we picked up from the venue garden. By removing the visual clutter, the focus shifts entirely to your connection. We do not ask you to hold stiff poses or tilt your head at awkward angles. We give you a framework, a suggestion of where to stand, and then we wait for the real smile or the quiet glance that makes the photo yours.

Whether it is a dramatic black-and-white frame during your cocktail or a soft, sun-drenched bridal portrait, the goal is the same. We want to create images that look like editorial art but feel like a memory. If you are worried about feeling camera-shy or unnatural, this is exactly why we shoot this way. It gives you permission to just exist in the moment, while we handle the composition.

We are Hardik and Rima from SeventybyTwo. We do not think of ourselves as photographers who just document events. We are observers of connection, finding the quiet, real moments between the noise of the 600+ weddings we have shot.
