About The Groom's Regalia: Ivory & Beige Sherwanis
Every sherwani here begins with a personal fitting process to map the silhouette to your frame. We focus on the marriage of fabric and embroidery, ensuring the weight of the silk and the density of the Resham work feel balanced and comfortable throughout your wedding rituals.
My approach to the ivory and beige sherwani rests on two pillars: architectural structure and intricate detailing. I look to the arches and domes of Mughal history for the silhouette, aiming for sharp, clean lines that offer a regal posture rather than a bulky fit.
We work primarily with heavy Raw Silk and Matka Silk. These fabrics provide a matte, dignified base that holds the structure of the garment through long ceremonies. The ornamentation is never rushed. I combine machine-guided embroidery with hand-done highlights using French knots, Aari work, and Zardozi. This layering creates depth in the floral and vine jaal patterns without overpowering the fabric.
Because I prioritize comfort, every inner layer is lined with breathable satin or high-thread-count cotton to prevent irritation. The process starts with a toile trial to adjust the shoulder padding and waist suppression, followed by a final fitting to ensure the drape of the stole and the fit of the churidar are precise. Whether you choose a classic ivory or a warmer beige, my goal is to create a garment that feels like family history from the moment you put it on.
