Cinematic Brand Films and Social Media Reels in Mumbai

I turn brand stories into visual experiences. From high-energy reels that stop the scroll to cinematic product films, I focus on the grit and beauty of Mumbai to make your vision stand out.

This is a look at my signature style for automotive brands. I use advanced masking techniques and fast, rhythmic cuts to create a cinematic experience that captures the energy of the Benelli superbike.

For this realme commercial, the goal was to make a tech feature feel like magic. I used quick cuts and a clear narrative to demonstrate the phone's "Say it, Edit it" AI capability in a way that's instantly understandable and visually engaging.

Unboxing my DJI drone was a personal milestone, and I wanted this video to feel that way. It's more than just a product reveal; it's a story about chasing a dream, blending emotional storytelling with clean, professional visuals.

This reel breaks down my process, showing the difference between the raw behind-the-scenes setup and the final, polished product video. It’s a quick glimpse into the lighting, editing, and creative work that goes into delivering a high-quality commercial shot.

A tribute to my city, Mumbai. This reel uses fast-paced editing and raw, energetic shots to capture the city's chaotic beauty in just 13 seconds, showcasing my ability to create thumb-stopping social media content.

This video is a reflection on my journey as a filmmaker, marking one year with my dream camera, the Sony A7 IV. It’s a compilation of commercial projects, brand films, and personal stories, showing the range of work I can create.

A full-fledged spec commercial I created for the 7Artisans 18mm lens. This project involved scripting, voiceover, and shooting on location in Mumbai to demonstrate the lens's ultra-wide capabilities for fellow filmmakers and street photographers.

About this collection

I don't just hand over a file; I build a narrative. I look for those 'Ajun thodasa thamb na' (please wait a little longer) moments—the cinematic pauses that turn a quick scroll into a watch. Whether it's a product reveal or a brand story, the goal is to make your audience stop and actually look at the frame.

My process is rooted in the hustle. I started with a borrowed camera in 2020, and today, that background drives how I approach every frame. When I shoot, I'm not just capturing a product or a person; I am looking for the texture, the light, and the mood that makes a video feel alive.

Technically, I rely on the Sony A7 IV for that full-frame depth and low-light performance, which is vital for the dynamic, high-contrast look I love. For commercials, I use macro lenses and controlled lighting to pull out product details that are often missed, like the texture of a gadget or the edge of a lens. If the project calls for it, I integrate 4K drone cinematography to add scale and cinematic movement that grounded shots just can't provide.

Editing is where the story actually gets made. I use Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve to craft rhythmic cuts, masking transitions, and soundscapes that match the energy of the visual. My sound design is heavy on layering—ambient noise, swooshes, and beat-syncing—so the video feels as good as it looks. I keep the process collaborative and open, so if you have a vision, we can sketch out the storyboard together and bring that story to life.

I’m Sarun. I went from a pharmacy student to a full-time filmmaker by just chasing the shots that others missed. I don’t believe in generic stock-footage style ads—I believe in making your brand feel as real and vibrant as the streets of Mumbai.
